Gon hummed, typing away on his computer. Trying to find a lead, any lead. I can't believe I resorted to using the dark web but nothing legal seems to work. He knew his father dealt in shady things though before he left when Gon was about 5, so he figured this would be the best way to find him. He was 17 now, and no less determined. Now, Gon wasn't one to break rules. In fact, he was a very honest hardworking boy with a clean attendance record and on the outside seemed like the 'perfect student' type. Which is what made his decision to use the dark web all the more odd.

Gon's eyes brightened as he found something. "Finally" he muttered, standing up and putting on some gloves, then slipping a hoodie over his shoulders. He'd been searching for days. He knew it might be dangerous but he was desperate. Plus if anything goes wrong I could always call the cops. He tried to use that thought to sate the worry in his gut, however there were also several ways it could still go wrong. Gon typed the coordinates onto his phone and saw that it was in an alleyway. Well that definitely won't backfire. He thought sarcastically, then shoved his hands in his hoodie pockets and walked out the door. "I'll be back, Aunt Mito!" he called upstairs. There was an answer but he'd already shut the door and couldn't hear it.

On his way to the alley, all the ways this could backfire flitted through his head. However, curiosity killed the cat as they say. Not only was Gon a curious creature, but he was also desperate. As he got closer and closer to his destination, he slipped his hand into his pocket and rested it on his pocket knife. He'd bought it in case of a car crash, so he could cut the seatbelt in an emergency, or if he needed a quick way to defend himself. Now Gon wasn't exactly paranoid, but he'd rather be prepared just in case. Gon's unease grew and he was second guessing his decision to come here as the alley got within sight.

There was graffiti all over the walls and it smelled...dark, damp, and of smoke. Totally not ominous... Gon sucked in a breath and walked into the alley, eyes darting around. It was dark and hard to see anything, and it was quite frankly a mess. Oh thank god. Nobody's here. It was just a- "Hey!" Gon jumped, then his eyes widened a little as he glanced towards the voice and saw a figure clad in black sitting on a balcony of one of the abandoned buildings, legs stuck through the gaps and swinging slightly. Gon gulped. "H-Hello?" the figure rested it's chin on the railing, their face was covered but by the voice he'd guessed that they were male. "What's a kid like you doing in a musty old alley?" he asked, tilting his head a little.

Gon hesitated. "well i-" suddenly he heard a noise and stiffened. When he glanced back over to the figure on the balcony, he'd vanished. He heard a clicking noise and froze, slowly glancing over his shoulder. There was a woman standing behind him, aiming a gun at his head. If I reach for my phone I'm dead- "You came to the wrong alley, boy" she said, in a thick accent that Gon couldn't quite place. Gon did the first thing that came to mind, which was putting his hands up so she knew he was unarmed. "I uh..." think Gon think.... Then, he got an idea. "My name's Gon," he said. The woman growled, pressing the gun against his head. "I didn't ask"

He gulped. "I never met my mom and my dad left when I was five" he went on. Gon remembered hearing somewhere that if you were ever held at gunpoint, you should share random personal facts about yourself. Apparently it reduced your chances of being shot or something. Gon was too terrified to really think, he just started sharing random facts about himself. The woman seemed to be listening, and when he glanced over his shoulder at her she looked pretty confused. Gon then realized that the male figure from before was sneaking up behind them. Gon kept talking, and suddenly the male figure locked his arms around the woman's throat and pulled her back.

She gasped, dropping the gun and struggling. Gon quickly got his pocket knife out and whipped around, panting. adrenaline was still pumping through his veins. Holy shit- in the tussle, the male's hood was flung off and Gon's eyes widened. His skin was pale, like porcelain. Dazzling sapphire eyes, fluffy and slightly tousled white hair. But what caught his eyes most was...the expression on his face. The excited look in his eyes and the slightly crooked grin that he wore. "GET OFF ME YOU B-" Gon's pocket knife slipped from his hand and clattered to the ground as the white haired male slashed a previously concealed knife across the woman's throat, cutting her yell off with a horrible gurgling noise as her throat was torn open by the serrated edge. Despite his adrenaline rush, he was completely frozen as he watched the fluffy haired male slam the woman into the concrete, then stab her chest over and over again, all while laughing almost childishly.

Gon started trembling slightly, slowly taking a few steps back. "Hahahaha, thanks Gon!" Gon froze. How'd he know my- The white haired male glanced over at him, a bit of blood splattered on his cheek. He smiled innocently. "You're good as bait!" Gon's mouth went dry. This was a mistake... The white haired male stood up and grinned, then took out his phone and aimed it at the dead body. "Say cheese!" there was a flash, and then he whistled a little and typed away on his phone, effectively ignoring Gon for the time being. W-what the hell do I do? He's fast, if I run he'll catch me for sure. He doesn't seem hostile towards me at all, that'll change if i try calling the police..

"So how much of that was true?" Gon blinked, glancing over at him as he wiped the blood off his knife. "H-Huh?" The male pressed the tip of the knife against his thumb a little, not enough to make it bleed but close. "All that stuff you said to that woman" Gon bit his lip. "All of it..?" the male tilted his head. "Your favorite color's blue? Huh. thought it would've been green" is he- what- Gon was utterly baffled. One second he was violently stabbing a woman in the chest, the next he was inquiring about his favorite color? Gon would be lying if he said he wasn't terrified. But he couldn't help being intrigued as well.

The male suddenly removed his black hoodie with a sigh. "This thing's too stuffy" he grumbled. It revealed that he was wearing a choker and a navy blue tank top. Why does he look- suddenly there was a ringing noise. "Oh- gotta catch this. Be quiet for a minute will ya?" Gon frowned. Did his personality just change? "Biskehh" there was a pause, and Gon took that opportunity to pick up his pocket knife and slip it back into his pocket. The male frowned. "Eh? I sent you a picture. Why do you need to come see it for yourself?" Gon froze. Does that mean what I think it- There was a huff, and the white haired male rubbed the back of his head with a sigh. "Yes boss..."
