"Stay in the park and don't leave your buddies!" Ashton yelled frantically as all the teens scattered, not even bothering to spare him a single glance of acknowledgement to his instructions. He sighed, "Do they not realize that I'm serious?"
"Eh." Calum shrugged at he stood next to him, being his buddy. "Let 'em wonder off and get killed, less people for us to worry about."
"Us? Didn't you just imply that you basically don't give two shits about them?" Ashton chuckled.
Calum thought about what he had said, then shrugged again.
"You're a mess," Ashton giggled, starting to walk through the park.
"Yeah, but I'm a hot mess," Calum corrected, running up to Ashton and jumping on to his back. He wrapped his legs around him, and Ashton put his arms under his knees to support him.
"You're lucky that was cheeky as fuck, otherwise I would've dropped you as soon as you jumped on to me," Ashton pointed out, earning a pout from Calum.
"You would seriously let me fall?"
Ashton stopped walking, and let Calum's legs go so that he slid off. Calum stood their slightly confused as Ashton turned around to face him. He cupped the boy's cheeks, kissing him softly, yet passionately. When they pulled away from the chaste kiss, Ashton whispered, "Course not, love."
Calum melted into his words, grabbing the curly haired boy's hand, and giving him a little kiss on the cheek before dragging him off to one of the rides, saying that Ashton needed to quit being so cute or else he'd die from not being able to handle it.
"You think I'm cute?" Ashton questioned once the were in line for one of the bigger rides.
"No, I think you're ugly as shit." Calum rolled his eyes playfully. "Of course I think you're cute, you stupid."
"Really?"
"YES! You're little girly giggle, your dimples, your curly, messy hair, your- just everything about you!"
"Even my big ass hands?" He raised his eyebrows and wrapped an arm around Calum's waist.
"Yep." He nodded proudly. "And they're all mine."
"Oh really? I don't remember ever being asked out," Ashton teases, making a face as if he was trying hard to recall a memory.
"Fine. Ashton Irwin, will you be my boyfriend?" Calum asked blankly.
"Oh, nu-uh! You've gotta be more romantic than that!" Ashton whined, unwrapping his arm and folding them both over his chest.
"You spoiled little shit," Calum muttered. "You think you'd be grateful I actually asked, because you should know I'm usually the sub."
"And I'm usually the dom- Wait, why are we even talking about this! Just make your proposal better!"
"Alright, but you gotta give me time to prepare this- or more like come up with something first."
"You could have just said it with more enthusiasm, you know," Ashton informed him.
"No. If you want something romantic, you'll get romantic."
Persistent motherfucker, Ashton thought. "Whatever; just know that I won't wait forever."
"For me? Yeah, you will," Calum scoffed.
"Whatever." Ashton shook his head, wrapping his arm around the boy's waist once again, allowing him to relax into the head cheerleader's side.
