"Only a dua can change
the fate of a strong believer..."

Z A Y N A -

This wasn't her. It was someone else. Looking at herself in the mirror, Zayna couldn't believe that person was her. She was dolled up in a white, bridal wear which had golden embroidery. It was elegant and simple like her. Her face was caked up of makeup and she felt irritated by it. She never wore so much make, and the layers of foundation were suffocating her skin.

Her lips were adorned with a nice red mat lipstick and her hands with golden glass bangles. She was also wearing a diamond set that Malik sahab gifted her. It held a special place in her heart because it was the first ever gift that her father gave to her. But the sad part was that he waited for her to get married so that he can gift her something. That hurt Zayna but she shrugged off, as usual.

She knows. She knows that bottling up everything inside and pretending to not care is going to hurt her more in the future. Because the day there won't be any place to bottle up her emotions, she will let go everything. And that might cost her a lot.

Shaking her head, she tried to remove all those thoughts. No matter how she was feeling, today it's her nikkah and the most important day of her life. Today, she will become someone else's. She will no longer hold the same rights as she did on her home because it will become her parents' house. She will become a wife and with that a lot of responsibilities as well.

She doesn't know where life is taking her, or what Allah has planned for her. But she had faith, faith in the Almighty. She knows if this nikkah with Azhar Mir Sultan isn't meant to happen, Allah will stop it. But if Azhar is a part of Zayna book's chapter than no one can stop this marriage from happening except Him. She dreaded the future. Her heart was telling her that this nikkah will change everything. Her relations, her life, everything.

"Zayna, you're ready ?" Shahnoor entered her room dressed in a long purple lehnga. She was all dressed up, but unlike Zayna, she loved to do all those stuff. Makeup was an art she loved to create.

Zayna who was startled by Shahnoor's sudden appearance, nodded quietly. "Qazi sahb will be here any time." Zayna nodded again, and a silence fell upon them. Both were feeling emotional, Shahnoor didn't want her sister to leave and she was hiding her feelings since this morning. She was acting all busy and hyped for the preparation as if it didn't affect her.

And Zayna, it was difficult to think that she will leave everything behind. Her memories, her childhood, her family, nothing will remain the same. Shahnoor cleared her throat, she always found it difficult to express her feelings. "I...I will miss you.." She whispered timidly. It was a rare sight to see a shy Shahnoor.

"I will miss you more." Zayna got up and smiled with her arms opened. Shahnoor didn't waste a second before running to her and hugging her tightly. She started to cry without even realizing it.

"Stop crying, you'll ruin your makeup. And then Abbas brother will call you churail." Zayna teased to lighten Shahnoor's mood. She laughed and pulled back wiping her tears.

"I can say the same about you."

"Na, he won't tease me today because I am leaving." Zayna confidently replied when someone knocked and entered. Both were surprised to see Abbas standing there. He was looking down at his feet dressed in a traditional wear.
