My attention was soon pulled away from Hermione by the class laughing and I turn to see Snape in women's clothing and I burst out laughing.
"Wonderful, Neville, wonderful! Incredible! Okay...to the back, Neville. Everyone, form a line... Form a line! I want everyone to picture the thing they fear the very most... and turn it into something funny," Lupin said as he put on a record and music filled the room.
"This should be good," I said as I joined the line behind Hermione.
"Next! Ron!" Lupin said as Ron stood up.
The figure of Snape soon became that of a huge spider as it moved closer to Ron and he was clearly afraid.
"Concentrate. Face your fear. Be brave! Wand at the ready, Ron," Lupin said as Ron readied himself.
"Riddikulus!" Ron said and the spider soon had on roller skates and couldn't stay on it's feet
"Yes! You see? Very good, very good! Marvellous! Absolutely, very, very enjoyable! Parvati! Next! Show us what you see," Lupin said as Ron went to the back high fiving Harry on the way.
"Keep your nerve. Steady," Lupin said as the boggart took the form of a huge snake.
"Riddikulus!" Parvati said and the snake became a clown in a box that quite honestly I found it worse than the snake.
"And next! Step up, step up! Wonderful, wonderful!," I see that Harry is next and Lupin's face became serious.
I thought because it was Harry it might take the form of Voldemort but then it became a Dementor and it moved to Harry.
"Here!" Lupin yelled.
He jumped out in front of Harry at which point the boggart became a full moon behind the clouds and that is when I realised it.
"Riddikulus! Right. Sorry about that. That's enough for today," Lupin said ending the lesson.
A few months passed with nothing much happening just me Harry, Ron and Hermione going to class as normal and soon enough it was our trip to Hogsmead.
"Remember, these visits to Hogsmeade village are a privilege. Should your behaviour reflect poorly on the school... that privilege shall not be extended again," McGonagle said.
"You excited?" I said to Hermione.
"Of course, I have heard stories about Hogsmead I can't wait," Emma said.
"And you Hermione," I asked.
"Yeah it should be fun," Hermione said but it sounded a little forced.
"No permission form signed, no visiting the village. That's the rule, Potter," McGonagle said.
"Those with permission, follow me. Those without, stay put," Filch said.
"I thought if you signed it, then I could... I can't. Only a parent or a guardian can sign. Since I am neither, it would be inappropriate. I'm sorry, Potter. That's my final word," McGonagle said.
"Forget about it, guys. See you later," Harry said and we left.
"We'll bring you back something nice," I said.
When we finally did get to Hogsmead I soon realised why Emma was so excited she and Ron ditched us almost immediately no doubt so me and Hermione could do this alone.
"So our friends have abandoned us and we are in Hogsmead why don't we just have some fun," I said.
"Sure," Hermione said.
The two of us spent the whole day together walking around and going into all the different shops Hermione seemed to be really enjoying herself. We both particularly enjoyed the bookshop it had a huge selection and some first editions of books that were super rare no surprise they were unbelievably expensive. I saw Hermione eyeing a certain book in particular, I took a look at the price and bought it for her.
"You didn't have to do that," Hermione said.
"Yeah but I wanted to," I said.
"Thank you," Hermione said kissing my cheek and I diced to ask her about it earlier.
"So Hermione, why did you say you were trying to catch up to me back then," I asked.
"You know, I like to learn about spells and magic," Hermione said.
"Knowing spells and having the strength to cast them are two different things," I said.
"I don't know I guess I am afraid that one day you will get stronger and stronger to the point where you don't want to be our friend because we can't keep up with you," Hermione said shocking me.
"You know for the smartest young which in history you can be a real idiot sometimes," I said and Hermione looked at me.
"What do you..." Hermione said as I cut her off.
"Hermione don't you dare think for a second that I will stop being your friend you Ron and Harry are the best people in my life and I will not give that up for anything, especially you Hermione you are the best friend I will ever have you mean way too much to me to lose you," I said.
"Really," Hermione said.
"With all my heart," I said and Hermione hugged me before kissing me on my cheek again.
