Laur was sitting on the couch in her room when she heard a knock at the door, she knew who it was so she told them to come in.
"Hi Laur." Cal said going to sit next to her.
"Hi Calum." She responded, not looking up from her phone. Calum rolled his eyes and pulled the phone out of her hand.
"We should talk about what you just said." Calum said, holding the phone out of her reach.
"This isn't helping your case, fuckface." Laur seethed trying to pull the phone out of his grasp.
"I just need you to listen to me. You can get your phone back right after, I promise."
"Talk then. I said what I wanted to say." Laur shrugged.
"Fine then. I'm sorry for acting like your dad, or boyfriend or whatever." Calum said, with an agitated tone.
"Jeez, thanks Cal for that sincere apology."
"What more do you want from me?" Calum replied, not understanding what Laur was asking from him.
"For you to stop acting like a jackass." Laur spat, turning away from him.
"You're the one that's acting like a jackass." Cal responded.
"Don't take your hurt or frustration with others out on me, Cal." Laur shot back. Calum tried to respond but Laur shut him up by putting her hand on his mouth.
"I'm not done. You have been acting like a right ass and I let you get away with it because I love you. But you are crossing so many boundaries that it's getting ridiculous. Figure your shit out or get out. I don't care which one it is." Laur removed her hand from his face. Calum looked shocked at Laur's rant.
"So? Which is it gonna be, Cal?" Laur said impatiently. Cal got up and walked to the door, but hesitated once he reached it. He looked up to the ceiling and muttered something under his breath before turning around and sitting back down on the couch.
"Shay keeps shutting me out."
"Yeah, she's known to do that." Laur replied, not quite understanding what her behavior has to do with his.
"I don't know what I did wrong, though. We were doing so good and then from one day to the next she just disappeared on me." He continued, burrowing his face in his hands.
"Have you talked to her? Told her how she's making you feel?" Laur asked, moving to sit a little closer to Calum.
Calum jumped up with a crazed look on his face. "Are you insane? I can't talk to her. Laur if I bring it up it's over for sure." He said, the panic seeping into his voice.
"Are you dumb? There is no way she's breaking up with you." Laur said, rolling her eyes.
"All the signs are there." He said, pacing back and forth.
"Calum, would you calm down and listen to me." She sneered. He sat back down next to her and turned to face her.
"What if I fucked things up for real this time." He said.
"She's pushing you away because she's scared."
"Scared of what?" Calum scoffed, not believing her. "Of me?"
Laur rolled her eyes at the blind boy in front of her. "She's scared of getting hurt. She's obviously in love with you, dumbass."
"No she's not." Cal said in disbelief.
"Are you stupid? I've seen the way she looks at you, she loves you Cal." She replied.
"I love her too." He responded, lying his head on her shoulder.
