Chapter 1-

* Beep Beep Beep!*

Ugh. My alarm was buzzing in my ears. I wanted to throw it. But instead, I just turned it off and got up . "MAKENZIE!" My older sister, Alex yelled from down the hall. She was a freshman in college. Every morning she made sure I was up  We are very close. Today was my first day of my senior year. My boyfriend, Jake , had been at summer camp all summer. I hadn't seen him at all. You'd think I would be excited to see him, but honestly , I'm not. He's rude and treats me like I'm his property. I quickly yell back " I am up doll." My sister... is... different. She has stage 2 leukemia. And it's been pretty hard these past few years. My mother, father , and 12 year old sister , macie, and I all try to spend as much time with her as possible. We all know what cancer does to people. And no matter how much Alex tries to deny it, she does too. I don't like to think of it like that , though. I believe that as long as i hear her big mouth every morning, I am blessed.I am luck to even have her.  I suddenly hear a knock at my door. " Come on in." It was my mother.. " Kenz, I'm fixing breakfast , you need to get dressed.. you are the only one not ready. And Alex and Macie are ready to go. " I smiled at her.. " Okay , okay, Im going to get dressed. " She walked out and I walked to my closet. I put on my purple ripped skinny jeans, a black and purple half shirt with the word ' Swag ' printed on it and my black undershirt. I quickly slipped on my sparkly flats and grabbed my hair brush. My hair is naturally wavy so all i had to do was brush through it. I grabbed my bookbag, phone, and my duffle bag ( which of course was for my volleyball game this afternoon.) and walked out of the room.I walked to the bathroom and brushed my teeth and put on some foundation, mascara and a bit of blush on then walked out . " Alex, Macie.. Im ready! " I yelled from the top of the stairs.. I look down to see my younger sister looking up at me. She glared at me .. " You are going to make me late. And if I'm late, im getting you back. " I winked at her " Awh. I love you too. " I walked down the stairs, and said goodbye to my parents then got in my sisters car. " Sorry i took so long" I said looking at Alex " It's fine. Macie overreacts." I giggled a bit, meanwhile my younger sister who happened to look just like me was giving me the death stare. We pulled up to the local highschool and i got out. ' Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School' it read on the front sign. I immediatly spotted my bestfriend, Meghan at the front gate. " MEGSY-MOO!" That was her childhood nickname. She turned and faced me and ran to give me a big hug " KEEENNZZIEEE" We linked arms at walked inside. This year we had the same schedule so that was good. And then my smile immediatly was gone. There in the middle of the hall-way smiling like a criminal was Jake Anderson. My boyfriend. He walked over to me and said " Hey babe. We need to talk. Like now." i just looked at him.. " Uhm. Okay. Whatever.. " So Meghan walked to her boyfriend, Zayn while I went to the water fountain with Jake. He looked at me with a guilty face " Uhmm,, not that you should care but i slept with the camp counselor. " My heart sank. " YOU DID WHAT?! HOW COULD YOU? WE ARE THROUGH!" I walked away and felt tears in my eyes. Then i bumped into my best guy friend and the hottest guy in school.. Harry.
