4th of July (~8~)

Ella's pov (short)

It would've been a month later since I've been raped and I mostly forgot about it with the help of Brook, Jacob, and Kaden. But that's not all, today is the 4th of July...meaning fireworks and festivals. With food, drinks, and everything good.

I was looking in the mirror having a pretty dress on...my stomach kind of showing which made me smile. I know it may get some mad that I'm keeping the baby, but it isn't the baby's fault that they were put in the world...so I won't get rid of them

But I heard a small sickness going around, but it was small...so I didn't worry about it. I saw Brook hurrying out the door and running off which makes me raise a brow. I held my stomach before running behind Brook as fast as I could.

I noticed we were running towards her house since we were passing the field of flowers and the clear blue lake. Once we got to her house, she stopped and slowly walked into the house. I looked at Brook before wrapping my arms around my waist and started waiting for Brook.

Brook's pov

I heard the news about a sickness going around, but it was small. But if you got it, it could get you sick fast and your body starts to weaken to the point you die. Sadly, my little brother Liam got the sickness. My brother normally gets ill all the time, so he hardly goes outside or does things.

I walked into my house and saw my father rubbing his temples. ''Dad''I whispered and he turned around to look at me. Seeing eyebags under his eyes, he softly smiled before walking up to me and kissing my cheek.

''He's in his room''My father said, securing a handkerchief around my mouth. I nodded before walking inside his room and once I saw my brother, he was pale, his lips were dry, his eyes had purple eye bags, and my mother was also wearing a handkerchief and softly weeping.

I walked into the room and stared at my brother and he looked at me before smiling, his smile still sweet and wide.

''Y-You came'' Liam whispers while his voice is hoarse and he coughs into his elbow

''Of course, I was worried'' I muttered while softly patting his leg and he grinned before coughing harder...''Mommy said if I do go away, I'll be with grandma and grandpa'' Liam whispers while he looked out his window...''I wish I wasn't ill''He whispers which makes me sigh.

''You'll get better'' I say and Liam looked at me, the shine in his eyes still there which made me smile...'' P-Promise'' Liam whispers before coughing once again which makes me nod while tears are in my eyes.

''Of course, Liam'' I said in a shaky voice and smiling and Liam looked out the window...''I-I wanna see the fireworks mommy''Liam says and my mother looks at him before smiling.

''You're sick honey..I-I can't risk other people's lives for your entertainment's''My mother said while smiling and Liam nodded before looking out the window...''But they never do it over here..it's always in town'' Liam mutters while turning over.

''Don't get angry now..''My mother says and I grinned

''I-I'll get some fireworks and bring them over here''I suggest and I saw my brother's face light up quickly..'' R-Really'' He whispered and I nodded. He hopped up and wrapped his arms around my neck before quickly sitting down on the bed.

''I'm sorry...I'm so sorry, I was just excited..don't be mad'' Liam says while waving his hands in front of him with a gentle smile and I giggled..''I won't hurt you..just make sure you're well-rested when I get everything tonight''I muttered with a smile. 

After my mother thanked me repeatedly, I softly giggled before hugging her and my father..''Stay safe'' I say before walking outside and seeing Ella sitting beside a tree, napping. I smile softly before holding her bridal style and taking her to the castle.

''I promise you'' I whispered to myself..'' I'll get you them damn fireworks''I added while smirking.
