The Underworld - Hades
'A cold day in hell', Hades pondered, amused. After all, said phrase was used to describe something that would likely never happen, which was quite presumptuous of whichever genius had come up with that one, seeing as they'd never seen just how cold and empty hell truly was.
Well, at least not while they were alive.
Of course, within a millisecond of even wondering which self-proclaimed genius had come up with such a contradictory idiom, Hades would know, if he so desired that information. But why would he choose to be omniscient? As his son would say: 'that's boring'. And frankly, Hades had to agree. Being a god was, in the entire definition of the term, boring. Especially when you've been doing the same job for millennia, and would continue doing the same job for countless. Long. Centuries. So when Hecate materialized in his throne room, reporting an anomaly in her little pocket dimension, Hades couldn't deny that this was the most interested he'd been in a long time. And trust a god to truly understand the meaning of the word 'long', especially when describing time.
And so he sat back, and listened to Hecate describe how her world was going to shit. It was probably more than a little sadistic that he had to stop himself from smiling from the ridiculousness of it all, at least until she started talking about the escaped ghosts, and the soul-splitting, and the un-permitted torture. That quickly wiped the smile off of his face.
He had to do something. And he had the perfect person(s) for the job.
