You knew Seoul was big, but for some reason you weren't expecting it to be this big. It was so big that you almost felt suffocated, even as you were unpacking in your apartment. The feeling wasn't helped by the fact this was your first time living alone and away from home. You felt lonely, anxious, and even as you looked out the window and out onto the bright lights of the city, you couldn't shake the feeling of dread and anxiety.
It was 10 pm before you finished unpacking most of your things, having spent the whole day rummaging through boxes to at least get the essentials unpacked before tomorrow. Your apartment was starting to feel a bit more like home, but it did little to ease your nerves.
You looked at your phone, screen indicating the time, before you took one more look out the window. The city was beautiful, but you couldn't help but think it would look more beautiful if you could experience it in a place you could breathe.
That was when you remembered what the building owner had told you when you had been looking at the apartment. That you had access to the roof of the building. She had informed you that not many people went up there, considering it wasn't very interesting, but that you were free to wander up there if you so wanted.
So, without any further hesitation, you grabbed a sweatshirt and your key, walking out the door and to the stairs that would lead you up to the rooftop of your apartment building.
