Chapter 56. Family

"Hyung.. Come, sit here." Kai patted the sofa infront of him.

"What's up?"

Kai handed out a paper to Kris. The DNA result. Kris read the paper and his eyes widened.

"What?! You had Alec DNA test?"He shouted in shock.

"Yes hyung, why?" I asked in confusion.

He shook his head.

"I was going to tell you in the right time. But I guess this is the right time." Kris whispered.

"What right time? You knew about this, hyung?" Kai replied, with shock & disbelief painted all over his face.

"Look, let me explain. Don't go lose your bolts right away. Let hyung explain." Kris calmed Kai down.

An hour of talking happened, and it was only Kris telling the story.

"Then that day, his brother, Ji Yong, decided to take her away from you. And she gave birth to Alec Mason Kwon after 8 months of carrying the baby after we knew that she was already one month pregnant with it on the night of the incident." Kris explained.

Kai remained silent.

"Yah Kai, talk to me." Kris shrugged Kai's shoulders.

"I-I still can't sink it all in.." Kai stared with his face leaning on his hand.

"You have to." Kris replied. "Now, we must go and tell the truth to Julia. I mean, Ji Eun. And get her back to you, if that's what you want."

Kai still stared.

"But if you think that they're better off in Chanyeol's roof, then you should do nothing." Kris muttered.

Suddenly, Kai snapped.

"Let's go hyung. I'm ready." He stood up and grabbed his coat from the rack.

"C'mon Chanyeol, why don't you just tell her the truth?" Kai furiously asked, holding Julia's wrist.

"U-Uh.. I..." Chanyeol stuttered, who was across the room.

"C'mon, say it!"

"What is it, Chanyeol?" Julia asked in a very worried tone.

"I-I-I'm.."

"You're what?" Kai asked sarcastically. "C'mon, tell Ji Eun!"

"J-Ji Eun? Who is she?" Julia asked in confusion.

"I'm sorry Julia, you're Ji Eun. You're really not Julia. You're Ji Eun. I'm sorry." Chanyeol ran to Julia and went down to his knees.

"What are you talking about, Chanyeol?" Julia asked.

"Kai is your husband. You had amnesia 3 years ago, and your brother knew that you need a new life. Kai hit you and physically abused you, when we were still in Senior Year. The necklace, the aquamarine necklace.. I gave that to you when you had your 18th birthday." Chanyeol explained. "I'm sorry Julia, I really am."

Chanyeol's tears fell. As well as Julia's. She wiped it away and jerked her wrist off Kai's hand. She knelt to leveled to face Chanyeol, cupped his face and wiped his tears away.

"Jagiya.. Don't cry. Stop crying! Or else you'll look terribly bad!~" Julia still managed to joke.

"Yah, you too, don't cry! Crying does not fit you!" Chanyeol smiled with tears as he wiped hers away.

Kai's eyes gleamed when he saw the two.

"Ji Eun. I'm your husband. I'm the one. Not Chanyeol. I'm Alec's father. We're the family here, not you three." Kai heated things. Kai was so annoyed. "Let's go. I'm taking you home."

Kai held Julia's wrist once again and forced her to stand up and come with him. Chanyeol decided to run for her but he had nothing to do. Even though they are engaged, he couldn't do anything. In the law, Kai is still her husband. They weren't annulled or divorced. So in short, they were just engaged by them saying it. But they weren't engaged by law and God.

"Welcome home, Ji Eun-ah~" Kai smiled and pretended that nothing bad happened.

Julia was looking so lifeless. In fact, she really is lifeless and her mind is flying away that time.

"Do you want to rest? I'll take you upstairs. You'll be staying here with me forever!" Kai cheered, still pretending.

"Why did you bring me here?" Julia asked.

"Because this is your home!" Kai smiled happily.

"No. This is not. You are not home." Julia replied coldly.

Kai faced her and cupped her face.

"You're here with me now. That's what matters." Kai felt tears ran his face.

Julia left him and went upstairs and entered a room. Julia fell asleep and cried herself. After a set of hours, Julia woke up. She went down and sat down the sofa. Kai rushed to her bringing a plate with food.

"Jagiya, come, let's eat!" Kai smiled.

"You're not Chanyeol. You're not my jagiya." She answered deadly.

"But, can you eat first?" Kai pleaded.

Julia didn't respond. Instead, she threw the plate and the food was all over the floor. She lifelessly went upstairs, being numb.
