Sonic's Love Crisis

Chapter 1: A Broken Heart

Sonic sat down where the sand and the grass met. He was in a spectacular mood because he had been gifted the privilege of a three-month supply of chilidogs, free of cost. Sally Acorn, somewhere nearby, had spotted the blue hedgehog sitting. She walked over to him and sat down. Startled by Sally, Sonic practically jumped. "Whoa! I'm sorry Sal. You frightened me." Sonic told her in an embarrassed tone. Sally then placed her hand on his and looked up at him smiling. "It's fine Sonic." Sonic smiled, recognizing how she did not laugh at him for being startled. "I love that adorable smile of yours." Sally expressed. "Well- to be fair, don't you love everything  about me?" Sonic teased her. "Why, of course." Sally teased right back as she lay her head on Sonic's shoulder. Yelling in the distance had interrupted their fun. "SONIC, what is wrong with you, cheater!" Sonic's anger rose as he saw Amy Rose running at them with her hammer
. As soon as she reached them, he put his hand out and grabbed the end of the hammer. "Amy-" "I GIVE YOU EVERYTHING, AND YOU GO AND CHEAT ON ME THE SECOND YOU GET AWAY!" "AM-!!!" "You're heartless yo-!!" "AMY" Sonic yelled. "I'm sorry, but we are NOT dating, and that- that right there was INSANE!" "I get you to have a crush on me, but please just STOP following me around EVERYWHERE like a lost little puppy. It's not cool! I do not love you anything more than a little sister, and I never will! I'm DONE with your stupid fan girl antics!" Amy started to tear up crying and then ran away. Sonic sighed. "Sally I'm sorry about that, but I do feel really bad now." "It'll be alright Sonic." Sally cheerfully told Sonic. "To be honest, that needed to be said. She was acting psychotic! She had no right to follow you and invade your privacy as she did." "Yeah! I guess your right Sally." Sonic said in a more cheerful tone than before. "However, she is still really important to me. I've been friends with her for a while now, but she couldn't accept we were nothing more than friends."  "I guess... I'm just scared we will lose our friendship because of what I said. No matter how crazy she is. I'll always care for her." Sonic said with a sigh. Now standing up, Sally wrapped her arms around Sonic to embrace him. He then did the same. "I'm sorry Sonic." "It's not your fault Sal it's mine." It seemed as if they were hugging for eternity in Sonic's opinion. He didn't mind it though. That was until they heard screams coming from everyone down at the beach. "I gotta split Sal!" Sonic said as he let go of Sally, and ran to the beach. Down in the sand was Dr. Eggman's robot army. Sonic rushed into action as a child was grabbed by a robot. He spin-dashed the robot and rushed the kid over to its mother. "Thank you Sonic!" The mother exclaimed Sonic nodded at her as he rushed over to defeat the other robotic nuisances. "All in a day's work." He thought. "I never get a break, and that better change soon!" Sonic practically screamed internally. Caught up in his thoughts he did not notice four robots sneaking up on him from behind. The robots grabbed him by his arms and legs, and the more he tried to get free, the tighter the grip was on him. He now, for once, thought it was hopeless. Egghead would finally win, Sonic would die, and Eggman would conquer the island, where he lived! Dr. Eggman interrupted his thoughts with a cackle. "Why Sonic, you thought every day would always result in you saving it." "But this time... I've finally got y-." Eggman was then knocked unconscious by Shadow, who appeared out of nowhere it had seemed. "Shadow hates me with a burning passion... Why is he, of all people, helping me!" Sonic thought. Shadow then proceeded to defeat all of the robots before he approached Sonic, and broke the robots holding him. "You idiot faker.." Shadow proceeded to say with an eye-roll. "Shadow. Why did you just help me out there." "Don't make it into a thing you damn faker! I only did it because I live on this island too. I didn't want the FULL responsibility of keeping things safe around here." "Well thank you Shadz." And to Sonic's surprise. Shadow had blushed.
