Chapter 57. Remember Me

"Amnesia can only be cured by bringing back that person's memories..."

It has been three days but Julia is still having the same attitude towards Kai.

"Ji Eun-ah, please eat. Take your food." Kai stated, which was outside the door.

Julia's/Ji Eun's P.O.V.

Kai was there outside the door's room.

"Ji Eun-ah, please eat. Take your food."

I don't like to eat. It's been 3 days. I'm just drinking water, I'm killing myself. I'm just staying in bed, hugging my knees and looks up to the sky. It feels so sad without Chanyeol and Alec. I don't know my way back home because I have never been to Kai's house before. Psh, I thought he was a family friend. I was wrong. He was not.

Suddenly, I heard him sigh, still outside my door.

"I'm so sorry for doing this to you, Ji Eun. I don't want this to happen. I never did. I'm so sorry for taking advantage of you before. I didn't realize your worth in my life." He muttered. Then he snorted like he was crying. "I missed you. I miss the way you call me kkamjong."

Kkamjong? That's strange.. It's familiar.

"That day you wore that white dress during the family dinner? I'll never forget that. You were so pretty. The day I surprised you for your birthday? I hope you won't forget that too." He chuckled while crying.

Thoughts ran back to my mind. I don't know what's happening, but it felt like I know this guy. Everything he's telling me, it all happened. WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY BRAIN? WHY ARE YOU THINKING LIKE THIS?

"And that day we got married-it was the happiest day of my life."

I heard him snorted while crying. Maybe I am being too harsh. Should I let him explain it to me? No, maybe he'll just fool me.

"I know you can't hear me because you're probably sleeping or anything.. I just want to let you know I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done this. I should've took the consequences and just live alone, regretting all the stupid things I did to you before. " He cried. "I love you & I'm sorry, paboya."

Paboya? P-P-P... Paboya? Memories crept in my mind. A lot of them ran after me. They got a hold of me, making me remember everything that happened.

* FLASHBACK *

"Yah, let go of my hand." I said as I looked away from Kai.

"Why?" He said. "Later, at our family dinner..." He whispered.

"Yah, I know already okay? You don't have to remind me." I annoyingly answered.

"Umm, Ji Eun and I decided to not rush things up. We'll pick the date of our wedding. It won't take us long, it won't reach our graduation. Please let the both of us decide." He respectfully stated.

"Because I love you and I can't let him have you!" Kai raised his voice at me. "Okay? Is it clear already?!"

"Yah, you sure do like eating bread in the afternoon." Kai said.

"Ne, (Yes) and it goes with Nutella. Nutella, like your skin color. HAHAHAHHAHAHAHHA!" I bursted out laughing.

"Today marks our official engagement, official for me and you." Kai said as he smiled. "We're official. You will soon be Mrs. Kim. I love you."

"Let's celebrate this evening for the both of us." Kai smiled as he held a wine bottle and two glasses high.

"Are you sure?" He asked me, in a clearing tone.

"Yes, I am. And I have never been sure in my entire life." I answered whole-heartedly.

"Where were you last night?" I gently asked.

"It's none of your business." Kai answered in a heavy tone.

The other night, Kai punched me and slapped me. It's been ten days since he's been drinking after school and comes home drunk. Ten days of him slapping me in the face, punching me, hurting me, and shouting bad stuff at me. Ten days of me still sleeping with him even though he's not like the usual. Ten days of me still loving Kai after all he's doing.

"Kai! Please stop the car!"

"Ji Eun!!"

"Kai, stop!"

*END OF FLASHBACK*

My tears fell like rain after all my memories came back. After all of it got me. Chanyeol, yes, I loved him when we were still Seniors. But the one I married was Kai, not because we were asked to do so. But because I fell in love with him already. My tears streamed strongly down my face. I wiped it like a little kid and my heart teared.

*NO ONE'S P.O.V.*

"I may just be someone you used to know, but please for-" Kai got cut off when Julia opened the door.

Kai's eyes were all red, and full of tears. His eyes were swollen. He looked up to Julia and saw that her eyes were red and had tears on her cheeks, too. He quickly stood up and wiped away Julia's tears using his sweater's wrist.

"Ohh, here's your food." Kai muttered, as he wiped away his tears.
"I don't need food, Kkamjong." Julia smiled and tears rushed on her face.

Kai's eyes widened. She just called him "kkamjong".

"You called me.. K-k-.."
"Kkamjong?" Julia smiled and laughed even she's crying.
"Do you remember me?" Kai asked, holding Julia's shoulders.

Julia nodded and smiled. She then hugged Kai. And Kai, was left surprised. Kai then sinked in the events that happened, and was finally happy that Ji Eun, is back.

"I still remember you, dark skinned." Julia laughed, tiptoeing to reach Kai during the hug.

Kai's heart was filled with joy and happiness when she herself, Julia, admitted that she remembered him. He hugged Julia back, as tight as he can. He missed his wife too much.

"I miss you so much." Kai whispered, as his tears continued flowing.
"I miss you too, Kai." Julia cupped his face.
"I love you Jul-" Kai got cut off when Julia handed her index finger on his lips.
"There's no Julia here. But there is Ji Eun." She smiled. "I love you too, Kai. I missed you."
