There she stayed several minutes, sitting on her desk with her legs crossed while staring at the mirror that supposedly called her.

«I must be hearing noises» she thought with a chuckle as she tilted her head to a side in order to get a better view of the mirror «I mean... Wtf, mirrors don't talk».

The blonde girl glanced at the other two ladies that were in the room with her, yet, they didn't seemed to notice at all the strange sounds (or the panic attack that she was having right then) and that only worried her more. Even
though she was joking about it she was truly scared that she might be actually making up stuff in her head.

A door was suddenly opened and Katherine had to hold up a little yelp, since the sound the door did had completely startled her.

"Morning Cassidy! Everything is ready inside please come in, it's great that you came with your mother!" the doctor said with his usual happiness to the young woman with the back dress, not noticing that Katherine's chest was moving rapidly up and down and that she kept staring at the mirror that was on the corner of the room.

As fast as he appeared the man left, closing the door to his office with a dry sound.

The woman in red uncrossed her legs in an almost mechanic way and placed them both on the ground, she then slowly got up from her seat and cautiously, like if something was going to jump out of it, she began to walk towards the mirror as the two woman stood up and headed inside the doctor's office, not paying attention to whatever the secretary was doing.

Halfway there she began to panic even more, several questions began to appear on her head one after the other. Of course each one had an answer that was worse that the one before.

She wasn't sure if she was actually called by someone or she was imagining noises in her hear. If it was the second one she'll probably need to make an appointment with a otolaryngologist, with a neurologist or even with the same doctor she worked with, but if it was the first one... What would happen? What she could find on the mirror? Was she actually going to be safe? It sounded stupid, but she was actually scared that something might attack her.

There was havoc on her head indeed.

Her hands were colder than any other part of her body, small drops of sweat ran down her forehead as she approached the mirror, she could feel her own heartbeats on her chest and ears, a terrible headache blurred her mind even more and at some point of the road her legs began to slightly shake.

With every step she was closer to the unknown, she was afraid of what she could see on the crystal and she was even more scared of how would react the things that where on the other side.

Katherine closed her eyes on the final step, in order to not see the thing that would probably end her life, but after a few seconds of actually staying alive she decided to open them. She let out a loud scream once she did, but there was nothing in the mirror.

At least she was not in the mirror...

Katherine ran her eyes across the crystal surface multiple times, but she couldn't see herself. She couldn't see her reflection. What she could see was the dark desk, the red couch and every single picture the doctor had around the place. She could see through herself, like if she wasn't there at all.

The poor girl began to rub her eyes with force, not believing what her senses were showing her, since she was physically there after all! There was no reason why she shouldn't be reflected in the mirror.

She knew that her reflection was supposed to be in front of her, because it had always been one when she stood in front of a reflective surface.

Immediately every morning of the last few months came to her head, each time she stroked her hair with her delicate, purple brush passed through her very mind. All those memories couldn't be wrong, could they?
