"Hyun, what do you think about these? One or two?" Jennie spread one and two pieces onto the bench.
"Have you already tried both of them on?" Irene admired the outfits. "Not yet. I was hoping to after I got your professional opinion." Irene playfully rolls her eyes.
She pointed to the bright yellow two-piece, "This one is practically calling to you." Jennie smiled and chortled, and Irene timidly joined in.
Jennie ushers a quick thank you before returning to the changing room and taking the chosen outfit.
Jennie reappeared from the changing room two minutes later, her bright smile lighting up Irene. "Wow, you look great," she complimented.
"Thanks. I think I'm in love with this one, too, " Jennie replies. We don't want to keep the day waiting. Hurry." Jennie makes one last pose in the mirror before changing.
"How did you know I was going to choose this one anyway?" Irene didn't know whether to be offended or not.
"Wait. So you're saying that it didn't matter which one I was going to choose?" the latter tried to sound hurt.
Jennie opened the door and mischievously laughed, nudging Irene. "I'm only teasing you, unnie. Come on, let me pay for this so we can get going." Jennie said as she pulled Irene behind her.
Jennie pulls her debit card from her purse and gives it to the cashier. Then, she sets down her items on the counter.
"Hey, do you want to check out the carnival after this?" Irene looks at her, confused. "But what about your clothes?" The cashier gives back the card as Jennie grabs the bagged clothing.
"It's fine. Besides, I want to spend more time with you, Hyun. It's been too long since we've gotten to hang." Jennie's gummy smile melts Irene's heart.
"Okay," she brightens up. "We have to check out some of the games there!"
Irene only grinned at her small antics. "Let's get some food first. I'm starving after all of that waiting." Jennie giggles.
"Anything but ice cream, I'm still skeptical because of last time." the older woman laughed at that. "Well, about that." Jennie looked at Irene,
"Was the whole ice cream ordeal your idea?" Jennie sounded surprised and looked at Irene, who awkwardly smiled and threw up a peace sign. "Yes?"
The younger woman scoffed and gently nudged Irene, saying, "The ice cream ruined my favorite plaid shirt." Jennie whined.
Irene sighed sharply, "I know, but you kept complaining that you were hot every five seconds! Besides, you were laughing too!"
Jennie suddenly broke into a fit of laughter. "Okay, fine. You win." Jennie looks at the time on her watch.

"Ready to leave? It's going to nine." Irene hums and finishes her pretzel. They walk side by side, hearing screams from the carnival rides. "I had a lot of fun today, unnie. Thank you for coming with me."
"Of course. How could I leave you hanging? I know you wanted Jisoo to come with us," Irene says, bundling her cardigan around Jennie's shoulders.
Jennie pouted at the mention of her busy friend. "And to think this was her idea. Hypocrite." Irene giggled.
"She's a busy woman, Jen. Of course, something like this would happen," Irene says, tossing her dirty napkin into a trash bin.
"You're right. I should've expected this." Jennie pouts before wrapping an arm around Irene's shoulder, "Maybe next time we can all hang out."
The thought of that happening seemed inconceivable.
Jennie will soon be busy with her design, Jisoo will be busy with her acting schedule, and Irene will be busy with her upcoming concert. They were all too busy to make plans.
"Why don't you stay over at my house? It would be fun before we get too busy for each other." Jennie danced, enjoying the fun day she had just spent with her favorite friend.
"Why not? I stay over all the time," Irene agrees. "Assa! You might have some extra clothes I washed when you last stayed over."
Irene smiled and gave Jennie a brief thumbs-up. "Maybe then you can tell me about your boyfriend." Jennie endlessly teased out of pure excitement.
Irene scoffed in annoyance and lightly shoved Jennie's arm. "In your dreams."
"Aww, don't be so bitter now. You didn't mind when you talked about him earlier."

Seulgi opened her eyes and was met with a sleeping Joohyun. She had thankfully slept through the night peacefully. Joohyun was holding onto Seulgi's shirt tightly.
Her eyebrows were knitted together, almost as if she was angry.
Maybe she was too quick to judge Jennie, Seulgi thought. It was just the wonder that made her second guess Joohyun. What if Jennie was a past lover and Joohyun didn't love Seulgi anymore?
Those types of questions surged through Seulgi's head. Well, at least in the secluded part of her mind.
Joohyun groggily looked up at Seulgi, who was mindlessly running her fingers through her hair. "Seul?"
"Oh, good morning, sleepyhead." Seulgi leaned down to kiss the temple of her forehead.
A moment of silence.
"Do you think I don't trust you?" she asked, realizing her hands were still latched to Seulgi's shirt.
Joohyun nuzzles closer to Seulgi, losing herself in her lingering perfume from yesterday. "No,"
"I won't allow you feeling uncomfortable around me, Hyun. That's not right. We can talk about whatever is troubling you at your own pace." Seulgi heaved, which was a relief to Joohyun.
The silence Joohyun gave bothered Seulgi.
Seulgi knew by now that Joohyun was never the one ever to initiate any intimacy. "You know I love you, right?" Seulgi rhetorically says,
"Of course. I love you more." Seulgi wrapped her arms around Joohyun again and pulled her closer, the latter reciprocating. "Hyun?"
"Yeah?" she looked up at Seulgi. "Did you ever date Jennie?" the rumbling of Seulgi's voice sent a tingling sensation up Joohyun's neck. "No. We were only best friends," she replies.
She averted her gaze towards the window, noticing Seulgi's arm around her becoming looser every second. She was lost in thought.
Joohyun cupped Seulgi's cheek and pulled her face closer to her. "There's only been you, Seul," she assured her before kissing her lips. Seulgi reacted instantly.
"That one time, Jennie did think I was dating someone. And I was, but it was you," she giggled at the memory, Seulgi joining.
"It's only been you, Seul, nobody else."
