WARNING THIS CHAPTER TALKS A LOT ABOUT DRUGS AND ALCOHOL
This day was like any other day for Joshua Gaberial Mathews. He would party all night and was always getting into trouble everyday. Its been going on for so long that Josh's parents know the cops by their first names. Their was one day that changed his life completely. He of course had no idea this would happen. Josh was just enjoying a typical Friday night. He waa out partying, drinking, doing drugs. Everything his parents did not want him doing at 16.
He didn't realize he had hit the last straw with his parents until that night. He was heading home from a party at 4am drunk and high. He also drove home. As he was driving home he got pulled over. The cops had a hard time arresting him but got him to the station and immediately called Amy and Allen. They were livid after this phone call. This was not the first time they had to go get Josh from the police station because he drove drunk and got picked up by the police. This was actually something that happened multiple times a week. This time was different the cops said "if josh can not change he will have to serve some serious time in juvie." This however did not bug Josh at all. He was not scared about going to juvie. His parents did not want that to happen though.
It took until 8 am to go though the paperwork and everything but Josh was able to go home with his parents. As soon as Josh got home he was ready to go to sleep so he could party again that night. Amy and Alan had other plans. Amy and Alan already had called Cory Josh's older brother. He agreed to take Josh in so his parents could get Josh out of Philadelphia away from friends to help out to keep josh out of jail and turn him around hopefully. Josh had no idea that they were planning this though. Cory on the other hand was planing for Josh to arrive to live with him that afternoon. Corys wife Topanga was worried about this. There daughter was a great kid but was worried about Josh changing Riley to be just like him. Everyone hoped that New York would change Josh into becoming a better man. If not Josh will end up in jail if he can make it with everything he has been doing that is not safe.
Josh knew he was in trouble once he got home and was getting ready to head upstairs to go to sleep and his parents stop him. They say "Josh go sit down on the couch, we need to talk to you after everything that just happened." He argued to his parents that "i was up all night i need to follow your rule of getting sleep at night and not staying up for days." Alan was not happy at that. Right their and then he blurted out "you will sleep tonight because Cory should be here to take you back to New York with him around noon." Josh was furious at this. He was like "New York my friends are all here in Philadelphia I shouldn't have to go move in with my brother just because you don't like my friends here. They are the best and that Is why we are such close friends." Josh then got told you better go pack. Anything left he will have to do without while he is in New York. Cory was not waiting for him to pack and does not want to take Josh out shopping for clothes in New York on the first day. Cory said that if he has to Josh can wear the same clothes for a few days if he has to or borrow clothes from Cory. As soon as his parents told him that he could have to wear Corys clothes if he doesn't pack any he ran off to pack some clothes. He also made sure to sneak some alcohol in his bag. As soon as he figured out the best way to hide the alcohol in between his clothes and not have it look suspicious. By the time he packed his brother had arrived from New York and was waiting on him so they could make the trip back together.
