The guy was sitting on a bench and looked at him with a smile from ear to ear.
- What happened? - Roma asked suspiciously, seeing his friend in such a mood.
- I have nothing, but I suppose you have good news? - Alex asked slyly.
- What? - The guy stared at him in surprise.
- What's what? What kind of girl was sleeping on your bed? – Alex got tired, and he decided to ask directly.
- Did you go into the room?
- No, but I saw it out of the corner of my eye.
- I see. She's just a friend.
- Just a friend? Are you sure? – the smile slipped from the guy's face.
- Well, yes.
- Ahem, let's say. I'll pretend that I believed you, - Alex got up from the bench. - Let's go already.
All the way, a friend asked Roma about Anya. Who is she, what is her name, how old is she, what she does. Looking at the guy, at how he talks about his "just a friend", Alex thought to himself: "No, this won't go like that. We need to bring them together. We will work!"
After a couple of hours of walking, Roma invited a friend to his place. When he got home, the guy poured Alex tea, and he went to change clothes. At that moment Alexandra came into the kitchen.
- Oh, hi, Alex. What's up?
- Hello! Thank you, everything is fine. Listen, do you know Anya?
- Of course! Roma talks about her for days on end. And "just a friend", "just a friend", tired already!
"Means our thoughts are similar! We should try to lure Roma's mom into the case," Alex thought and, a little quieter, asked the woman:
- Do you think it will be possible to bring them together?
Alexandra leaned over to the guy.
- What are your suggestions?
Alex was about to open his mouth, but Roma suddenly came into the kitchen.
- Oh, hi Mom. What are you talking about?
- It doesn't matter. Okay, I have to work, I'll go. – the woman answered her son, and to Alex quietly, so that only he could hear, said, - Before you leave, come to me, we'll discuss the case.
The guy barely nodded, and Alexandra left the room. Roma followed her with his eyes with interest, but didn't ask anything. The friends sat down at the table and began to talk about their own.
The next day at school, Roma sat down with Anya. The girl was apparently dozing. The guy didn't want to wake her up, but the call to the lesson decided differently. Anya jumped up abruptly, looked around, was surprised by Roma sitting next to her, but didn't say anything.
The third lesson was math. Friends listened attentively to the teacher, took notes, solved the numbers. Well, like the friends... just Anya. Roma spent all his lessons looking only at the girl. Suddenly, he realized that something was wrong with his neighbor at the desk: Anya's movements slowed down, her eyes clouded, and her skin became whiter.
- Ann, is everything okay? – the guy asked anxiously, but he didn't have time to get an answer: the girl fell unconscious on the desk.
Roma quickly jumped up, informed the teacher about the problem, picked up Anya and carried her to the first-aid post. The school nurse realized by the look of the girl that it was bad. After laying Anya on the couch and checking the call to the ambulance, Roma returned to the classroom. But, of course, he couldn't think about any lessons: he was very worried about the girl. After school, the guy immediately ran to the hospital.
- Good afternoon! An unconscious girl, Anna Shorokhina, was supposed to be brought in this afternoon. Can I visit her? – approaching the reception desk, rumbled Roma.
- Good afternoon. Yes, we have one. Who are you to her? – came from the window.
- A friend.
The woman looked at him suspiciously, but said nothing. After a couple of minutes, she called the ward number and floor, and Roma quickly ran there. Finding the right door, he knocked gently.
- Yes, come in, - the guy recognized Anya's voice and, exhaling with relief, went into the ward.
- Hello! How are you? What is it? - he asked, coming up to the couch.
- Hello. It's all right, don't worry, I just was too much nervous before the test, - the girl smiled. – I was left for examination, they will discharge me in a week.
They talked a little more, agreed that Roma would visit Anya every day (although the girl stubbornly and for a long time dissuaded him), and the guy went home.
Anya watched him go, waited for the door to close, and exhaled sadly. "I don't want to upset him. I can't tell him," she thought. The girl looked out the window. It was raining outside, and Roma ran home, covering his head with a hood. Anya smiled sadly, turned away from the window, lay down on the pillow and fell asleep with the hope that everything that had happened was just a bad dream.
The weekend has come. Roma went into the ward and greeted the girl.
- Hello! Well, how are you here, aren't you bored?
- Hi, and nope. Mom brought me some things, so I'm sitting, studying, - the girl replied.
- Are you writing your book? I'm still waiting for the sequel! – the guy said with a wink. – And I came here with my friend, he wanted to meet you for a long time.
A tall, slender guy with blond hair appeared in the doorway.
- hello! My name is Alex, - he said.
- Hello. I'm Anya, - the girl replied with a nod.
Friends talked a little, got to know each other better, laughed and dispersed.
So the days flew by. A week later, Anya was discharged from the hospital, and she returned to school. Of course, nothing has changed there. However, it was soon the end of December, and the whole class was discussing how they would celebrate the New Year.
- Let's have a ball? – one of the girls suggested.
- What kind of ball, are we in a fairy tale or something? – the boys interrupted her. – Let's go out of town, to nature – that's it!
- What about the club?
- No, we will not go there one hundred percent, - the class teacher intervened.
- What about a trip to another city? - Anya asked quietly, but everyone continued to argue loudly, not having heard her idea.
The girl tried again:
- Maybe we'll celebrate in St. Petersburg?
Again, zero reaction.
Then Roma intervened, who, unlike Anya, was listened to and heard by everyone:
- Guys, Anya suggests celebrating the New Year in another city, in St. Petersburg, for example.
Everyone looked at each other and raised their hands.
- But I don't want to go to St. Petersburg, - said one of classmates of the guys. – I don't like big cities.
- Yes, we need to choose a smaller city, – the others supported.
There were a lot of offers: Petrozavodsk, Voronezh, Omsk, Novgorod, Krasnodar, Samara. But soon all the ideas were exhausted. Then Anya gave her voice again:
- And Vyborg?
- And what kind of city is this? – the guys asked with interest.
The class teacher and Anya briefly told the class about the city and its attractions, and everyone unanimously chose it. After searching for information, someone very successfully found a New Year's tour of Vyborg.
- So, the tour is from December 29 to January 2, departure from St. Petersburg at 8:00 at the metro station "Chernaya Rechka" - the guys read the information.
The last school day was on the 26th, so it was time to pack up and leave for St. Petersburg.
On January 28, at 10:00, the whole class and Alex, who was allowed to go with them, stood at the train station and waited for the train. The latter, in turn, was delayed for half an hour, so the guys went into the building and sat down in the waiting room. Someone went to the store for food, someone was just walking, someone looked into a stall with magazines. Alex remained sitting in the hall, Anya went to the nearest bakery to buy pastries and hot coffee, and Roma went to the vending machine for soda. Both coped with their business pretty quickly and decided to go to McDonald's, since there were still 20 minutes before the train arrived. There, the guys gathered a lot of all kinds of food and hurried to the composition – the order was large, and they cooked it for a long time.
Soon the train started moving. Anya, Alex and Roma sat down together. The girl was peacefully drinking coffee, the guy was watching a movie on his phone, and their best friend was reading a book. Over time, Anya didn't notice how she also got carried away with the movie and had been watching it with Roma for 15 minutes. At the same time, she put her head on the young man's shoulder. Alex, sitting across from him, distracted from reading and smiled slyly. Both the guy and the girl did not notice what was happening, and from the outside they looked like a couple of lovers. Many classmates giggled as they passed by, but the "couple" were too keen on the film.
As a result, both fell asleep. Roma with a phone in his hands, and Anya on his shoulder, holding an empty disposable cup. Alex put down the book, got up, carefully took the former coffee from the girl's hands, and from the guy got a gadget. Naturally, he threw away the cup, and put the phone on the table. Alex covered the guys with a blanket, sat back down, and, admiring the people opposite, also fell asleep.
All three of them woke up upon arrival in St. Petersburg. Quickly collecting things and food, which they did not eat, the guys got off the train and went to the hotel together with the class, without realizing the whole situation.
The rooms were for 3 people, for boys – on the second floor, for girls – on the third. Alex and Roma settled only together, since the rest had already been distributed. It was already late enough, but thanks to sleeping on the train, all three didn't want to sleep, and as soon as the teachers checked the lights out, Anya went to the guys, having previously agreed with the roommates that she would stay with the boys for the night.
