Sky Islands : Anticipation.

Chapter 11: Locked Behind Three Temples

The White Void Faded as the bright light settled to their eyes as they shield them, pulling their arms away. "Woah... this place looks... like it's gonna crumble... Full of history." Amity says shocked as she scans the walls. "Ahh here we go... Templerinn ór kunnusta... so... The Temple of Knowledge? Huh." Amity says standing back up looking to everyone else.

"That... sounds easier than It probably is..." Tari says looking around and seeing the puzzle ahead... two cages held up on a peice of string, an elevator of sorts but in need of weight for it to send either one. "This looks easy enough I can just-" Clive says jumping with his boots and they flop and he falls to the ground quickly sitting up. "Fuck- Why aren't they working...?" Clive says holding his knee. Ivory helping him up. "This place is freaking me out... Clive do you think you can climb with the katanas like you did the door?" Ivory says raising an eyebrow.

"Well... maybe they snapped, maybe they didn't. How about we do the puzzle!" Clive says embarrassingly admitting they snapped when climbing. "Hmm... what if, you all jumped in the cage at once as I'm stood in the other cage? The sudden weight might be able to lift me to the top..." Tari says abserving it. "But- what about us huh? Just gonna do it on your own T-bomb?" Clive says raising an eyebrow in a very unimpressive expression.

Tari scoffs and rolls her eyes. "No, I'll just pull you up, my grapple doesn't work but I can still use the rope." Tari says standing inside the left Cage. Amity rolls her eyes at Clive as he pouts angrily. He stands near the other cage with the other two. "Three... Two....One... JUMP!" Tari shouts as Ivory, Amity and Clive jump and slam their feet in the ground on the cage as Tari is sent upwards, she quickly grabs the ledge and pulls herself up as the cage falls back down.

"Whew.. n-nearly got split in half then..." Tari says nervously wiping sweat from her head. She leans over the edge and holds the rope down as the three climb on top of the cage and are pulled up one by one. "Nice one Tar Tar. See Clive, see how much easier things are when you aren't a dick?" Ivory says walking foward as he just rolls his eyes following behind. Tari leads the way again as a bridge is in front of them, "Woah WOAH AMITY STEP BACK!!" Tari quickly pulls her away as a Ginormous hammer swung to and fro as Amity stands there wide eyed, seeing her life flash before her eyes.

"Jesus... that was close." Ivory says, putting Amity behind her. "I-... sorry." She mumbles, Clive smiling at her reassuringly as she smiles back. They both face forward as Tari steps forward holding out some rock climbing axes- she spins in a slow momentum and leaps, grabbing onto the swinging hammer and as she is swung towards the group she holds her hand and leg out. "GRAB ON!!" She shouts as they all nod.

Ivory leaping and grabbing her hand, Amity leaping up and her hand slips and ends up holding her ankel. Clive leaps and grabs onto Ivory. "AHHH WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YO- AHHHHHHH" Clive screams as Tari let's go and pulls everyone with her as the hammer reaches it height limit. They They land on a platform. "I-... that was close... again..." Tari mumbles out of breath, Ivory stands up and helps everyone up.

"So... from what I can see... only one person can make it across...." Amity says scanning the room they're in now, it being very spacious, a gap across with a hole stating "1 PERSON" in Norse. The trapdoor falls after detecting one person and then opens when the trial ends. "So... Amity you're gonna go across, go through whatever obstacles are there and push the button to open The big gate for us." Ivory says playfully hitting her shoulder.

Amity grabbing her bow and rope, shot it at the ceiling. Stepping back, running foward, leaping and swinging, angling herself to fit through the hole, the arrow and rope following her as it let go. She fell and landed, seeing... weird blotches of shadows and... purple mist. They walked towards her screaming "LUCE, LUCE, LUCE" Amity's eyes open widly as she froze in shock, remembering her and she stood there starstruck as the monsters drew closer to her. She shook her head, tears dripping out her eyes as she rushes at them. Knocking one with the bow and shooting one through the chest, retracting the shot as she crushed one to the wall and leaped on the wall, bouncing straight off it, booting the final one in the face as she fell to her knees breathing heavily.
