This lovely idea was requested by @Kaylah12375!

As a researcher for the SCP foundation, you rarely had ever done any interviews as much as the other researchers there. Usually you only interviewed SCPS classified as safe class, only reason for that is your inability to communicate properly.

But today as you walked into the foundation only to be welcomed by dead silence, it made your rather uncomfortable since the chatter and the discussions never really stopped in the foundation, you didn't question it but it had certainly caught your attention. Sitting down next to a co-worker of yours, you grabbed a paper and wrote down,

-"Mind you, why is everyone so quiet today?" You tapped her shoulder and showed her the paper.

-"Oh hello, Y/N" She greeted, "I don't know how to tell you this.." She looked down her voice showing how upset she is. You put a hand on her shoulder and gave her a reassuring nod,

-"Dr.Hamm is no longer with us.." She paused for a second, "He was found in SCP-049's containment breached, the entity claimed it 'cured' him." You felt your heart break, Dr.Hamm was someone who never doubted your abilities, heck he was the man who introduced you to the whole foundation when you first started working here.

You went on about your day normally just like everybody but that's when u realised it was time to return SCP-999 back to its cell, the cute entity never failed to make you happy. By now they foundation even considers you its care taker,

-'Where the hell did it go??' You thought. It took about 30 minutes to find him outside a containment cell, it immediately noticed you and ran back to you. Giving him a quick rub on the head before you picked him up, You looked up only to read

SCP-049

OBJECT CLASS: EUCLID

-'So this is the anomaly who killed Dr.Hamm..' you walked closer to look through the window on the door, you expecting to see the plague doctor working on a dead animals corpse you watched quietly so you wouldn't distract him, he worked so efficiently  and carefully, and u found it amazing but the little jelly friend of yours wasn't as quite as you, before u can shush it , SCP-999 started giggling catching the plague doctors attention. You froze in your place, afraid you might have agitated the doctor. He looked at you thru his window and simply waved, scared and worried you walked quickly away and ran upstairs to put SCP-999 back to his containment cell

The next day the foundation had not quite returned to how it was before Dr.Hamm's death, but the chatter was back,

-"Y/N," You made out the voice of Dr.Itkin, you turned around to look at him and waved hello

-"I have something for you, I don't really know how you would feel about this. But a SCP-049 wants you to interview him next." He explained not really happy about the idea, Your eyes were wide and you were obviously worried ,

-"I don't really know how the only seers thought this was a good idea, but I wouldn't lie to you, maybe you are our only hope to understand him. We are currently readying up the room for the interview, shouldn't take too long. Be ready in 10" He turned his back leaving you shocked and confused. You knew it was all because of yesterdays encounter

You'd think 10 minutes would pass slowly, but these were the quickest 10 minutes of your life, standing in front of the containment cell of SCP-049 waiting for your cue to enter. This was the first proper interview with any of the entities here. And there it was, your cue to enter the door opened and there was the doctor, looking at you. As you walked into the room you couldn't help but feel the doctors gaze all over you, it creeped you out no doubt, but you couldn't help but notice how beautiful his eyes are. One eye was a stone cold blue with a hint of grey, but the other was as green as a forest.

-"Hello." He greeted, his voice soft and metallic. You would be lying if it didn't calm you down, Pulling out your notebook you wrote down quickly.

-"Hello, doctor, you requested to see me?" You turned your notebook and showed him the text, he seemed to be confused as to why you wrote your sentence and not have said it.

-"I suppose it is rather amusing, that I be the one to ask you a question, but why would you write..-" Your giggling interrupted him, you always found it funny when people questioned you about this matter

-"I did say it would be amusing" He said in a light-hearted tone, by the time you had already wrote the explanation he was demanding on the your notebook

-"I can't talk, doctor" He read

-"You are unable to talk? How so?" Simple you had Apraxia

-"I have Apraxia, it is in simpler words, the problem that causes the muscles responsible of speech not cooperative" The doctor took a mental note of this

-"I must say I am very impressed" He praised you, you tilted your head confused. He found it so very adorable,

-"You are unable of speech yet look where you have come,"' He paused, you felt your face heat up. It always meant a lot to you when people complimented your achievements "I suppose you are very smart, wherein is your speciality?"

-"Crypto biology," he read "But if I can please ask you doctor, what is the pestilence? And do you feel any remorse for killing Dr.Hamm?" He was very agitated at your statement

-"I suppose you have the wrong idea. I do not kill, I cure. Even if my cure is still not yet perfected, it is most efficient." He stated in a very serious tone, you felt a bit scared since you were stating to warm up to the man in front of you

-"Apologies, I did not mean to scare you. It gets quite agitating when people do not believe in you, I have tried for years to find the perfect cure to the pestilence but when I was so close this hell found me. They have disturbed my work and ruined everything." He explained in a cold tone

-"I understand, don't worry I will see if I could possibly allow them to supply you with the specimens you wish to finish your work on, I must admit doctor, You are a very interesting man." He smiled under his mask, finally someone who can appreciate his work and help him find his cure,

Interview after interview the foundation learned something new about the masked doctor, and it was all thanks to you, Heck you even got a raise! But you had a good feeling about today as you stepped into his containment cell, smiling at him. He nodded as response, your interview went as it normally does, Except this time the doctor had asked you a question you didn't quite expect,

-"Do you ever wish to have a voice?" The question took you a back, of course you always wanted to have a voice and communicate normally with people, but you knew it wasn't possible

-"Oh of course! I may have dreamed of the moment I wake up and have a voice, but you know.."

-"I see." He said as he got lost in his own thoughts

             SCP-049 POV

She found her way to my heart the second I saw her, it took me by surprise the first time I had laid my eyes upon her. No one in this hell had ever given my work appreciation but her, but I will be eternally grateful to her, for she had somehow convinced the people who call themselves ones of science to bring in subjects with more human anatomy.

My journal, the journal that I have kept exhaustive records of my studies n the pestilence. now had pages that only mentioned her, I dreamed of being able to hear her voice. A voice I am sure is as beautiful and smooth as she is.

But I hope that one day, I be the man who finds the cure not just for the pestilence, But also her voice.

HII OMG THIS WAS WAY LONGER THAN I ANTICIPATED LOL! anyways i hope u like it!
