⚊ chapter nineteen

When did I become a certified babysitter? Ni-ki asked in his mind as he hadn't abandon the guest room for two hours now.

Heeseung was supposed to be the one to do this or his brother, but duty calls for them all of a sudden. Sunoo is called in the school while the former is asked to visit the coordinator of his parents' ball this weekend.

The older ones like Jay was the one staying in the kitchen with Jake, preparing a brunch for all of them and in the blink of an eye, because he had nothing to do, Ni-ki was the one asked to monitor Sungee.

He shifted in his seat awkwardly from the carpeted floor as he stole awkward glances at the small girl sprawled on the bed.

There was something to it - a girl in his house, eating the snacks he bought her - it did something to Ni-ki.

He made it a rule not to bring anyone in his house except for his male friends. Sunhee will always be the exception to everything, he thinks so.

It didn't help that she looked adorable in a big hoodie and sweats. Her hair was barely contained in that messy ponytail up her head. Heeseung's clothes were so big on her, it keeps reminding Ni-ki of what he had taken notice in the past few weeks.

The two have a thing for each other, that one thing is clear.

They're hiding it from Sunoo, that is also clear for him.

But what can he do to judge Heeseung on his taste? Sunhee looked like a little fairy he wanted to pick up and put in his pocket.

After the events of last night, he kept waiting for anyone to throw the blame on him, especially this girl. But so far she was polite and was actually appreciative of his actions for her.

She really is an angel in his eyes, he have to agree with that based on Sunoo's opinion.

Sunhee was currently laying on her stomach while she chewed gummy bears and watched the movie, Boss Baby 2.

Ugh, what can I expect from whose brother is inlove with pokemon shows? Clearly, the childish-taste run in the family.

Guilt settled in Ni-ki's stomach as he thought about Sunoo. He was his closest bestfriend, and if there was one thing in the world that he knew he loved - it was Sunhee.

The brother, for all his worry, didn't even get a glimpse of sleep just to watch over his sister and on their way to the hospital, Sunoo had done nothing but cried about her.

What would he do if he knew everytime Ni-ki looked at his sister, he couldn't stop from admiring her every soft features?

I mean fuck, I was the one out of his friends to tell him she's cute before he had given the rules.

He's a boy and she's right there, looking as adorable as the first time he saw her in school.

A thought dawned on Ni-ki and he cleared his throat to get Sunhee's attention. She twisted around to stare at him and he was distracted by the piece of gummy bear resting on her bottom plump lip as she chewed another bunch.

Jesus, man up and pull yourself together, Ni-ki.

"Your friends", he said blankly before shaking himself, "You might want to inform them. I mean they begged me to ask you that after I brought them to their houses"

Sunhee's eyes widened as she scrambled for her phone, which he realized was set down on top of Heeseung's bag on the nightstand. Ni-ki got up to grab it and plans to hand it to her, so she doesn't have to move much around the bed.
