Humming to yourself, you leaned back in your comfy chair and let your joints pop back into place. Licking your lips moist again, you let your fingers dance over the keyboard, tapping away your assignment that was due by next week. But you were on a roll and you would almost be done with it. The music you were listening made you more upbeat and awake with every tone it gave through your headphones. Your phone laid next to your laptop, flashing madly as you ignored every single message from the other living things. Your left hand travelled to a mug and your fingers circled around it before lifting the rim to your lips without even looking at it. Your lips were prepared for the liquid that would stream down to your throat, smearing it a little on the way, but mostly to keep you awake for a few more hours. Because that is what you need, simply a few more hours.
The liquid never came however and you looked dumfounded inside of the mug, keeping it even upside down to make sure it was empty all the way. "What?" You muttered, shaking the damn thing in the air and blinking your eyes several times. Not a single drop left. With a frown you placed the mug back down and looked at the time. 22:58. "Wow. I haven't even had dinner and it's this late already." After yanking the earplugs out of your ears, you looked up to the door with a frown. You quickly grabbed the mug and got to your feet before walking to the door out to the kitchen.
With a sigh you took the kettle, opened the faucet to fill it with water and put it on to boil the water. With a yawn you opened the cupboard and let your hand wander to where the pot with instant-coffee would be. Your fingers only hit air. Frowning a little, you wiggled them around and sometimes slammed your hands on the wood, missing the pot every time. Now you growled and got on your tippy toes to look into the cupboard. It wasn't there. You blinked a couple of times in confusion and looked around. 'Did I leave it somewhere on the counter last time?' Not there either. With a huff you closed the cupboard and started opening every other cupboard in the kitchen. It wasn't up, it wasn't down. Not left. Not right. You've been searching for the damn thing for a full ten minutes and the water you had boiled started to cool down again.
You puckered your lips and tapped your chin annoyed. "Woof!" Turning around, you came eye to eye with a white dog. The fluffiest you had ever seen in your life when you got to a kennel and brought him back with you and Law. A smile graced your face as you squatted down. The dog patted over to you and laid his head on your shoulder, enjoying the caress of your hand of his fur before you ran your fingers through it.
"Hey boy." You cooed. The dog wagged his tail happily at your voice, making you laugh a little. "How's our little Bepo doing today?" You asked, leaning back from the white Samoyed-husky breed, looking into his black, beady eyes. The boy carefully liked your cheek in affection and you acted shocked. "For me? Naaw, you're so cute~." You hugged the animal's neck as Bepo wagged his tail even faster. "You're almost just as cute as a sleepy Law." Suddenly you tensed. 'Law. Of course! He must have coffee somewhere! He's practically inhaling that stuff.' You thought getting up and manoeuvring around the happy dog who was now tailing after you.
With a quick skip you made your way towards Law's part of the house. His door to be more specific. Your grinned a little while eavesdropping before it turned into a frown. 'Is he not home?' You wondered.
"What are you doing at my door, (y/n)-ya?" A smooth voice rang from behind you, making you turn around quickly with a huge smile plastered on your face.
"Law!" You happily jumped in his arms, probably still a little hyper by the great amount of coffee you've been drinking the last couple of.. days. Cuddling him warmly, you nuzzled your nose in the crook of his neck, giving butterfly kisses everywhere you could. You felt him smiling as he leaned his chin on top of your head, humming slightly.
