Summary: Rody has not seen Izuku for far too long, and he finally gets the money to be able to travel to Japan with his siblings, Roro and Lala.

A/N: I don't usually like bending realism rules, but writing stuff with a language barrier in mind was too much effort, so I just... ignored that. Anyway, this ship has been rotting my brain for the past month or so, and all of the fanfiction I've read SUCKS BALLS. Even the ones on Ao3, which was disappointing— So, I did it myself. Also, I've never been to an airport and don't care to do much research about it, so... don't mind that. ALSO-Also, I did not expect this oneshot to be this long, so I'm sorry? But I'm not. Also this is not near finished. I'll be making a part 2 maybe? Or I'll just edit more into this one. Okay, enjoy ]

"I'll be sure to visit, Deku."
Rody smiled as he leaned against the wall, already dreaming of the day that he would be able to see Izuku in person again. It had only been 2 days since Midoriya had to leave, but it felt like an eternity. There was just no way Rody would be able to spend so long with a pending feeling of emptiness. He couldn't describe it, but it felt like something was missing, like he was longing for something ever since Izuku left. He needed him back, that was for sure.

"You better! I could show you around the dorms and you can meet my other friends too! Maybe I can even convince my teachers to let you stay and you can see what we do for training!"
Izuku's voice rang through his phone. His voice that sounded like silk and honey— it danced its way through his brain and itched it in just the right way— and god, would Rody
listen to his voice for hours if he could.

But. He couldn't. He needed to go to work with the old man, attend to his siblings back home, etcetera, etcetera. Plus, as much as he loved talking to Midoriya, he knew that traveling was expensive... and his family was flat broke. Sure, he was working for the old man now, but it didn't mean they were exactly rich. There was no way that he'd be able to visit Japan, not soon anyway.

Clink, clink.

The coins rattled and chimed as they fell into the comedically large glass vase. It had been exactly 7 years since Rody had seen Midoriya. He was now 23 years old (his siblings being 12 and 13) and his feelings of loneliness weren't as strong as they were when he was hormonally driven as a teenager, but he did miss Midoriya every now and then. Plus, he had been saving 20% of his check all these years in hopes to someday go to Japan with Roro and Lala. Not to mention the spare change he would toss in the vase. There was no turning back now.

Izuku and Rody had been keeping as much contact as they could. Though, "as much contact" was usually a small conversation on text once every three months if they were lucky. The two were always extremely busy— Midoriya being a Pro-Hero and all. From what Rody saw on the news, he was rising to top charts at an incredible speed. (Along with Bakugo, Todoroki, and a few others Izuku had mentioned were in his class that Rody couldn't quite remember because he didn't actually meet them). So, yeah. Midoriya was probably really busy all the time. He didn't know too much about Hero work, but he did know that it was a big and stressful job. He couldn't blame Deku for not being able to talk to him all the time.
