"It's my birthday party later. You should come!" I said to Kiera as soon as I sat in front of her. I already told her about my party the last time we saw each other but I think she forgot about it, based on the look of her face. Andito siya sa JSEC, kumakain mag-isa. She has her laptop and some papers in front of her.
She shook her head and that made me frown. "Hindi ako pwede mamaya, i'll just give you my gift. Happy birthday," she answered. She always turns down my invites to parties. I am so close to calling her "lola" because she just doesn't like going to parties!
"Sige na, Kiera! Please! I promise, you will have so much fun! You can even bring Axel!" I gave her the most convincing smile I could give. I also gave her so many reasons to go.
She sighed and took her eyes from her laptop.
"Sige na nga, pero saglit lang ako. Kailangan ko pang mag-aral. Malapit na ang finals natin." She said that made me hug her tight and kissed her cheeks because, finally! Kiera is going to a party! I bet she can't even remember the last time she partied!
I already reserved a rooftop bar for my party later. I also asked my friends to invite more people para masaya! I just really enjoy meeting and socializing with people. Kaya madami akong kakilala kung saan-saan. As my grandma would say, the more connections, the better.
As soon as my classes ended, I immediately called Kuya Luis na sunduin na ako. I still need to get ready for my party later!
"Happy birthday, Zel. See you later!" One of my blockmate said nung nakasalubong niya ako.
"See you! Don't forget to bring your friends, okay?" I waved at him and went my way to the school's gate to wait for Kuya Luis.
Katipunan traffic sucks! Parang hindi na umuusad ang mga sasakyan dahil sa sobrang heavy ng traffic. Para hindi ako ma-bored, I took that as an opportunity to conceptualize my outfit for later. I was thinking of wearing my Michael Kors crystal-embroidered dress that I bought from my Canada trip last year. I haven't really used that because I am saving it for a special occasion, just like my birthday party.
As I watched the cars pass by, I suddenly remembered Ian. Should I invite him? I pulled out my phone and went to our conversation. Ever since that interaction of us in Regis, he followed me on Instagram! Ayaw ko naman maging rude kaya I followed him back and that's how we became mutual sa Instagram.
His IG stories were mostly him with his teammates, their dogs, and his outfits. I also noticed that he would also view mine from time to time.
It's not really helping na palagi ko siyang nakikita on my social media!
Hanggang makarating kami sa bahay ay hindi ko na siya nai-text because I started getting ready for my party.
Bukas pa talaga ang birthday ko but I usually have my birthday dinner with Dad so I made my birthday party a day before my birthday itself.

"Happy birthday, Hazel!" My visitors started arriving and I am more than happy to welcome them. I would casually hug them and brush my cheek against theirs as I stood there at the entrance.
