⚊ chapter twenty six

The next morning I woke up with a smile on my face as I opened my eyes. Things went well last night and I enjoyed the ball without meeting his parents a single time, and thereafter, he's the one to bring me home.

If someone would ask about Ni-ki, Jake had apparently gone home ahead of him. In the end, he was forced to get a drive with us and I bet he stole all the spaces in Sunoo's bed as my brother always complain about it.

I think it's safe to say his bed wasn't made for soccer players.

My happy mood lead me to wake up early and freshen up before everyone else was up. I'm thinking of making a breakfast and maybe a lunch box for Heeseung. Would he love it if I said I cooked it for him?

I'm an average cook. It's the thought that counts.

I was out my bedroom before I made a fool of myself.

My body bumped blindly into a much taller boy and we were both tumbling down the floor as my eyes caught onto the blanket hanging around him to where the end of it is what had caused me to trip.

When I tried to wriggle out of the way, I was pulled back down as a large hand plopped on my face and it hits me afterwards, causing for me to yelp in surprise.

"I'm sorry!", Ni-ki was startled by the position we find ourselves to.

Due to all the clumsiness we had, I accidentally got on top of him and now, right at this moment, all the sleepiness were fading away from our eyes as we realized how awkward this could get.

Shaking off the feeling in my head, I untangle myself from his blanket and stood up to my feet, but I still need a moment to collect myself.

"Ni-ki, tell my brother to wake up, I'm about to make breakfast", I said, acting like nothing had happened.

He stood properly from the floor and I froze. This was it. If he was going to revert back to the old Ni-ki, he would just ignore me and went on his way - it would happen now.

"Waffles?", He mumbled.

I almost laughed in relief, but instead I smiled and nodded my head, "My favorite"

Ten minutes later I had the coffee brewing and the waffles from the waffle maker. Then I pulled some ice cream out of the freezer and put them as a toppings on some of the waffles.

I don't care how this would make my stomach upset. For me, waffles is the best partnered with ice cream.

Thanks to me, there's no mint choco in our stock. It was one of the taste of my brother I will never be okay with.

I felt a large presence behind me before a chair squeaked and someone settled at the counter. I knew it was Ni-ki without turning around, so I grabbed a mug and filled it with coffee.

"Is he already awake?", I asked as I peeked over my shoulder.

Ni-ki's hair was rumpled on top of his head and his clothes were wrinkled, a borrowed ones from my brother. His slightly closed eyes signalled how sleepy he was, as he shook his head.

Apparently I have to go up and shake the life out of my brother to wake up.

It dawned on me as I passed him to wake up my brother that he might've not even try to do what I said. I knew Sunoo, he could be woken up in just one call.

I ran up to his room and jumped into his bed with a big smile.

"Good morning Sunshine!", I said as I jumped at the mattress, the person in there trying to prolong his sleep by putting his pillow against his head.
