The answer to everything

Dinner was spent going over what had happened that day and trying to make sense of the information they had.

Eventually Namjoon had excused himself and headed to the elevator. A few minutes later he returned, with a pile of pens and some blank notebooks and passed them around the table.

He explained as he handed things out.

"We're all about ready to run into exhaustion," he said to some nodding heads, and some yawns. "We all are extremely smart, highly intelligent people. We know that we are some of the best in our own fields. But when we're mixing that against exhaustion, worry about family and more, we're not at our best."

Namjoon headed back to the head of the table and sat again next to Lara.

"Take the notebooks and use them for now as case books," he said and made Yoongi and Jin smile a little. "Use it like a grocery list or whatever you know is going to allow you to capture the thoughts that you have for what's been happening today," he said and this time he got more nods in the affirmative.

"I think that right now, we're all a little strung out with what's happened, and all the changes that have come about in the last eh.. fifty or so hours now," Namjoon said as he glanced at his watch and Lara smiled as he came back to sit at the head of the table with her.

Lara looked to him, but he shook his head, so she spoke instead.

"We, Sentinel, talked earlier today and as long as Bangtan is willing to put up with us, we're all here to help in whatever ways we can," she said and got smiles from her own team and even some from Namjoon's guys as well. "I hope that we can help more than hinder," she began, and Yoongi, Tae and Jin all waved their hands and spoke up.

Surprised, everyone turned to Taehyung, who looked to Ava and grinned, while Ava began to wear a delightful blush.

"Hyungs, Miss Ava knows everything about explosives. I mean, as much or more than our Hobihyung! That's way helpful," exclaimed Tae and now all eyes moved back to Hoseok who shrugged, then grinned at Ava himself.

"I only know what I've had to learn for the jobs. We keep ammunition onsite, but we try not to deal with actual explosives in the tower. Mostly for the neighbors," he said and made everyone laugh. Ava's blush faded a bit as she got encouragement from her sister and from Paige.

"I will be happy to share with you everything I learned," she said and bowed a little as she spoke.

Tae grinned again like a madman, and it made Lara smile a little too. She watched the rest of the table join in with the teasing of Tae, Ava, Hobi and Paige and wished fondly that they could have more conversations like this. Without everything else that was happening. In thinking this way, Lara sighed again. Yoongi caught it and reached from his chair next to hers to take Lara's right hand in his own. It got her attention again and Yoongi leaned in to speak directly to her.

"We've always sort of hoped you all would be here eventually little sister, so we'd hoped you would be here as part of the team to help us with jobs since we began. I want you to know that Namjoonah, Jinhyung, my Hoba and I have always worked to incorporate all four of you into our design here. Five, since I'll include our Kookie in that. said Yoongi quietly and Lara nodded a bit.

"I can see some of that in just the Tower, and I know I've seen in in Namjoon's place as well," she said and made Yoongi smile in return.

"Eventually I'm sure everyone will tour everyone's place, and you'll be able to see it for yourself Lara. Jin built space for Ginny to work. Paige decorated most of Hoba's apartment without ever stepping foot in the place, and you helped Joonie pick out the art for his place. You know that's the most important thing for him," he teased, and she grinned. But sobered slightly as she looked over to where her best friend watched her sister interact with the youngest at the table.
