⚊ chapter twenty seven

I was sitting at the library with Yuna as we attempted to catch up on the assigment we forget when the door bursts open near our table.

Everyone's attention is drawn away from their businesses and it goes to where Ni-ki stood who wore a sly smile.

He's the kind of person who didn't even have to try hard to lead people's eyes on his way. I guess he was magnetic in that style, the same goes for everyone in his group.

They all think they're all cool and intimidating when in reality, those seven boys were all awkward, chaotic boys behind the image the people created for them.

The librarian is about to move, I bet to ask him to get out. Ni-ki turns to her with a smile, "Sorry, I forgot the rules here"

She shakes her head at him in disappointment and tells Ni-ki to be quiet or she'll force him to leave.

There were multiple girls looking at his way including me, but then I looked down at my notebook, hating my laziness over weekend and now here I am about to pay for the consequences.

With so many possibilities, I didn't think one of it would be Ni-ki sliding down into the empty seat next to me. If Yuna were startled by his appearance, she was hiding it well behind her book.

"Hey", I let out, not looking up from my assignment.

From my peripheral vision, Ni-ki looks at me, looks away and then looks back. He seemed deciding to speak to me or ignore me, but by the look on his face, I had gotten the message.

It should be about me saying nothing about his invitation this morning.

Without a second thought, I looked away from him and I get up from my seat to take the chair besides Yuna who sat across from us.

"Hey Yuna.. Can you help me with this sentence?", I say to her, ignoring our company.

She looks up at me and closes her notebook. Giving me a small awkward smile, she receives my own notes to her hands and she looked at the problem.

"Is there something I need to change? It was close to finish but -"

"Don't ignore him", She cuts me off with a huff, "The boy certainly have something to say"

"Seems the opposite for me"

I walk back to my original chair where my bag is left opened and gather it up to my hand. I could feel Ni-ki staring at me from the corner of my eye. Just as I was about to walk back to Yuna's side, Ni-ki grabs my arm and pulls me back, stepping in front of me.

"Do you need something?", I pull my arm back and step back from him.

I couldn't help but notice how he fixed himself again. In contrast to the messy hair this morning, his hair is slick back like from the ball and it certainly add a flair to his overall features.

"You'll be my tutor", he says as if it was a command.

"Uh, no? I mean, why me?"

He shrugs, "Sunoo hyung suggested you, so why not?"

I chuckle, "Can't you find another person? Like your Jake hyung or Jay? They were smarter than I"

"Maybe I wanted you?", he lets out in a questioning way.

"I'm busy, Ni-ki. Maybe some other time", I tried it as an excuse.

I don't know, but since he popped the question of hanging out with him, I have this urge to suddenly desire of avoiding his existence.
