Carmen and Zachary, two very different people from contrasting backgrounds, are thrown together, desperate to find out what really happened that night in August.

Trigger warning: This book touches on the sensitive topics of sexual assault/rape/accusation of rape (though absolutely no scenes which explicitly show this happening), drug addiction, bullying, domestic abuse and death. It also has mature scenes and some violence. If this is triggering to you in any way, I would not recommend reading this book. I have other works which are less heavy.

All main characters (except Zachary's little sister, Addie) are eighteen or over.

Welcome to "That Night in August." This book is a project I first began planning in December 2021 whilst I was on a break between jobs. It is not yet complete, but I have written almost 15 chapters so far and will write more before release day, so I have plenty of material to keep up with posts without worrying about running out.

This book is one that I really had to make sure I was in the right mindset to start, and one I've taken extreme care and time working on because of how sensitive some of the topics touched on are.

ONE. This writing in this book is COPYRIGHTED. That means all chapters, including the Epilogue. Any copying, manipulation or re-distribution of this book is a serious offense and punishable by LAW.

TWO. This is a first draft that is completely unedited. Please be aware that there will almost certainly be errors.

THREE. This book is rated mature due to some heavy topics (see the trigger warning highlighted above before you read) and some steamy scenes. One of the POV characters also has a very colourful vocabulary. If you are looking for something lighthearted and fluffy, this is not it. My other book, Model Me Devotion, is more fun and fluffy.
