@Louis_Tomlinson SIRRRR WE NEEEED THIS ONE RIGHT HERE ☝☝
Louis glanced at his phone. "you can't be mine" seemed to still be dominating the comment section. I guess that's it, then. That's what I'll choose, he thought. Louis had just sent out a tweet asking for a prompt to write a new song and had decided beforehand that the comment at the top would be the one he picked. He did notice the significance behind those words, though, but just settled for ignoring it and quickly tweeted that @iphoneconspiracies' (he ignored that too) choice was the prompt he was going with. He watched the replies quickly flood in.

WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED WHILE I WAS ASLEEP
Pushing away his phone, Louis got out his songwriting notebook and a biro. He uncapped the pen and tapped it on the empty page. For a while, actually. Looking up at a clock, Louis realised he'd been sitting there for twenty minutes and not even a line was on the paper. He started writing.
you can't be mine
That's what the paper looked like. Blank. Apart from those four words. And... water? Louis touched the place where the water was, and then found another circle right next to it. Realising, he brought his hand up to his face and found bitter tears falling down his face. Stop, he told himself, stop it, just write a song, just write it. He couldn't. No matter what he thought he couldn't stop his hand from trembling. At that moment, he remembered a few words Harry had told him.
"Y'know, when I feel a big feeling, or something... I just write it down, make a song about it." Harry had grinned sheepishly and Lou remembered his dimples, and his hair, and his smile and his eyes... but that inevitably turned into the memories they'd made together, the memories that were now painful knives in his head, and how they'd been ruined, stripped from what they could have been.
Then Louis wrote. He wrote and wrote and poured his feelings out onto that piece of lined paper, until he had a whole song written, waiting to be heard by the world. He was at the recording studio. He had the mic in front of him, all ready to go. The introductory music played in his headset, and Louis inhaled for the first line.
"We keep..."
He trailed off and dug his nails into the his palms. Sing it, he thought to himself, what's wrong with you?! Louis heard the music replay in his ears, and breathed in once again, but no words came out. His eyes filled with tears, but he refused to start crying. He looked to the ceiling, trying to calm himself down. Louis tried to sing a third time and failed. At this point, he stopped attempting to stop himself crying and let the tears flow freely. He burst out the room and found somewhere he could be alone.
Such a wimp, I'm an actual wimp, can't even sing a song, just because, only 'cause it's about...
It means nothing, it's just something I made up, nothing, it's nothing...
I'm sorry.
I love you.
