chapter 1- investigation interruptions

L sat awkwardly as he does with his knee's pushed tightly to his chest in front of the computer monitor's, as Light was reading texts from misa, that he had received hours before, beside him. L began to drift away almost falling from his spinning desk chair but kept swinging his head back to avoid it at all costs.
Light moved closer to L so he could rest on his shoulder, L pushed him away, leaving Light confused. "Ryuzaki, what's wrong?" Light asked confused. L looked at the door behind them then back to Light, "I really want my sweets,," L whined almost child-like. As soon as Light had left L pounced at Lights phone scrolling through endless messages from Misa.
Light entered the kitchen and scanned the empty room. In front of him was a cart covered in all types of treats from macaroons to croissants dipped in chocolate. He grabbed the bar and pushed the cart down the hall to L.

L jumped to the sound of metal colliding with wood. Light smiled kindly to the freak before him.
L took this the wrong way, his cheeks turned red like the strawberry on top of the cake.
"What exactly are... You and Misa Misa?" His voice became quieter and quieter after every word. "I think I've told you before," Light answered honestly, "I don't like her the way she likes me." L smiled.
Light wondered why L was asking such personal questions, does L know? Light thought to himself no... He's not that smart... Light began to feel nervous and sick at the stomach at the thought of L knowing. He fell to his knee's, holding his stomach and covering his mouth. Light felt his head begin to throb and the room started spinning before everything turned black...
