Just You and I

New Friend

Today is the day... You thought to yourself. Today is the day I get to meet my Atma... Walking out of your dorm, you took a deep breath and took off down the hall. It was 8 am, so you didn't really expect that many people to be awake already.

But they were.

The halls were unusually crowded with unfamiliar faces. People were rushing through the halls as if a fire had started nearby. The air was clear though, thank goodness. You started for the Testing Wing of the campus, where you would take your test to be assigned your Atma. Shoulders bumped shoulders as you walked pasted all sorts of different people. Some with their Atma resting among their shoulders or on top of their heads, obviously upper classmen, others whom seem lost and have no clue as to what to do. You decided to ignore them, as your test was at 9 and with this traffic in the hallway you might not make it. Finally you got to the door leading to the exterior of campus, so you may could make your way to the Testing Wing. You put your hand on the bar and started to push your way out-

"Excuse me, ma'am." An unfamiliar voice said, followed by a tap on your shoulder. You turned your head to see a boyish looking male with long blond hair, his bangs resting at a point inbetween his big blue eyes, he could have easily been mistaken for a girl.

"Yes?" You replied impaitently. The boy noticed this in your tone of voice, becoming a tad bit worried.

"I was wondering if you knew where the Testing Wing was...?" He managed to get out.

"I was actually heading there too." You let out with a chuckle. With this, the boy relaxed with a relieved sigh. "Come on, follow me." You didn't really give him a chance to reply as you pushed the door open, revealing the shining sun preparing for the day.

You walked out of the Dorms and to the center of the campus. In the center was a circle stone path, with sub paths leading to each of the wings. In the very middle of the stone path was a grass path with a moderatly big oak tree. Walking past it, you headed for the Testing Wing.

You continued walking as you hear someone running up towards you. Turning your head, you see the unnamed boy from earlier, whom you had forgot about. You stopped, waiting for him to catch up. "I'm sorry!" You say as he catches up. He shakes his head, waving his hand in the air.

"It's ok. I'm pretty weak when it comes to physical strengths. It's intellect that I can excell in." He says with a chuckle. "Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you my name. I'm Armin, and what is yours?"

"___" You reply back with a slight smile and started to walk to the Testing Wing, with Armin at your side this time.

As you both walked, you started to talk about your interests and such. It turns out you had a lot in common with Armin, as this conversation was the blossoming of a new friendship. Sadly, all happy things must come to an end as you both came upon the building known as the Testing Wing. The wing of the campus where students are tested to be assigned an Atma. Armin walked up to the door, opening it, letting you in first.

Sudden nervousness and fear masked your excitement as you walked into the facility, Armin following. This is it... You thought. I finally get to meet my Atma...
