Dragged across the ground, Orella's vision was blurred. The last thing she'd heard.

"ORI!"

"MISS TEPES!!"

The two shouted out to her...each foot she traveled she heard crashing and crunching beside her. She looked up slightly, observing that the tunnel was caving in behind her. The gigantic spider arms were still carrying her. She just needed to hold out until the two found her. She could use the time now to try and recover any strength she could. As the depths continued she heard voices echoing through the halls.

"Just one more day, then I'll get the praise they promised...one more day."

"See momma! I got all A's on my test! Now can we go out?!"

These voices surged into her head. All with such hope, all with an aftertaste of disappointment.

"Dad, please...I'm right here...I don't think mom's coming back..."

"Anything for you, my lord."

These voices...overwhelming...images flashing in her head. Servitude with the hopes of recognition, all to be meant with indifference.

"Father!" A young Orella spoke up. "My teachers called my rapier work outstanding and Erik said I was extremely well behaved! This means you'll spend the day with me right?!"

No... she hated this memory.

"B-But you promised! You pinky swore!! You said if I was good we'd spend the day together!! You lied! You liar!!"

Please...no more...

"You always say that!! But it's been a year!! You won't even let me out of the house!"

Stop....

"ERIK IS A BETTER FATHER THAN YOU COULD EVER DREAM TO BE!!!"

If she hadn't said that...maybe he wouldn't have made Erik come around less. Was this her punishment? Why did he have to...?

"KRK KRK KRK. Such pain...how better could you serve your master?", the voice spoke again.

Orella weakly looked up. A gigantic cave, with a monstrous black widow at its center, a web beard of twitching locusts came from its lower jaw. The spider itself almost touched the ceiling of the cave. Orella looked in a daze, the cave's walls were coated in webbing that held cars, people, even beasts to the walls. This is where the victims had gone... not a single one eaten, instead they were left to rot in these webs....why?

"Why did you do this?" Orella asked.

"KRK KRK KRK. Nosferatu made the demand for warm bodies. KRK KRK KRK...once Nosferatu arrives I shall be showered in rewards for my deeds.", the Spider spoke, a voice that permeated not the air, but Orella's mind.

"But these bodies have gone cold....how long have you been waiting?" Orella asked, partially in disgust and partially in confusion.

"Years....and I shall wait years longer for my master to return, KRK...", the spider said as it sharpened its front legs.

"...You're Knock?"

"That is the name deemed to us by master Nosferatu. The only name I require."

Orella looked down in silence.

"If he's anything like my father, he's not coming."

The spider slammed its legs into the ground causing the entire shake to tremble, "LIAR!! KRRRRKKKKK!! YOU KNOW NOTHING!!"

"No, your master is a liar! He's never coming back!" Orella screamed.

The creature's eyes bled red as it began to drool. The locust stuck to its thorax and beard began flapping wildly.
