My heart pounded faster as we got closer and closer to the house. We pulled in and Steven honked the horn.

I watched Steven and belly get out fast, running towards jere after he had greeted my mom. I unbuckled and opened the door, stepping out.

Jeremiah came towards where I was standing and hugged me.

"Looking good V!" Jere said. "Love the new hair btw, really makes your eyes pop."

I laughed, jere was always good at making you feel good.

I looked up and saw someone walking towards us, as he got closer I recognized his familiar face. Conrad.

He looked up from the ground and made eye contact, I gave him a soft smile.

"I liked you better blonde." He said smirking.

"Wow, I see how it is." I rolled my eyes and smiled. He looked so similar but so different all at once. He wasn't wearing glasses anymore. He had also gotten taller. He had a lot more muscle on him, considering he had grown up being tall and skinny.

"Hey," Steven called, "i don't know about you guys but I uh, think it's time for a... bellyflop!"

Him and jere grabbed belly but she escaped their reach as she screamed. Conrad and I exchanged a look and soon after ran to catch up to her.

Steven and jere had her arms while Conrad and I struggled to get her feet off the ground. We carried her over to the edge of the pool and counted.

"1...2...3!" We all screamed, throwing her into the pool.

Her head popped up and she said something, soon after she grabbed jere's hand and pulled him in with her.

We all laughed as they splashed one another.
