"Logically, am I even ready for a relationship?" Aera thought to herself. Sure the idea of doing coupley things was fun but it was all a fantasy. Was this worth it to continue? Was this just a fling? Is it worth continuing?
Aera did what she did best and... made a pro and con list. Grabbing a random piece of loose leaf on her desk, she made a t-chart. She was being her Rory Gilmore self.
Pros
- being in a relationship
- feeling loved
- being with someone i like
- enjoying life together
- creating memoriesCons
- get hated on for being in a relationship
- long distance
- not having quality time together
- no time to talk
- are you even ready for a relationship ?!?!She couldn't come up with a lot. But this was enough for her to make her decision. She'll give it a shot. Although there's so much that can go wrong, she still wanted to experience this kind of love that is rare. "Am I smiling too much?" Aera asked herself. She could feel her lips stretching up to her forehead.
While not experiencing much of a relationship in her younger years, she was happy to finally be in a real one. In middle school, it was mainly all jokes and nothing was to be taken seriously. As expected from teenagers. She got her first kiss at 13. It was to a boy who asked her out for fun and Aera knew. He was known as the fuckboy but Aera was also bored during then. She decided to give it a shot to experience things. She didn't want to feel left out once she turned older.
In high school, she had a real relationship that lasted one month. She lost feelings for the dude quite fast as she realized he was distracting her from her studies. She knew her priorities and didn't want to destroy them.
Now in college, she has more freedom and can finally get the dream experience she wants. Minus the long distance and dating an idol and the hating that will happen if they are caught. Picking up her phone, she decided to call someone. "Hey!! Are you free right now?" Aera called Chenle. She wanted to be open about the relationship and not have any secrets. "Yeah, we just finished practicing. I was about to go with Haechan to eat pork belly. What's up?" Chenle replied with concern.
"So I was thinking" Aera stopped midway. That probably wasn't the best-starting sentence. "You don't wanna do this anymore?" Chenle asked with a hint of sadness. "Actually no. That's what I wanted to talk to you about. I made a list of pros and cons about our relationship and don't laugh. But yeah." Aera smiled and she could picture Chenle's smile too. How happy he would be right now. "I am laughing so hard right now. You made a list about me?" Chenle felt his heart hurt from laughing. He's never met someone who would make a pros and cons list about anything.
"Bye, I shouldn't have told you now. I'm regretting it." Aera rolled her eyes while still hearing his laugh through the phone. Chenle ended the call with Aera after she was done.
"Who'd you call?" Jaemin asked sitting next to him on the floor. "Aera, she wanted to talk about something real quick" Chenle explained. "How have you guys been doing? You know with the long distance and time zone differences?" Jaemin questioned. "I guess decent. I wish it was easier for us but we both put a lot of effort to try to reach out still whenever we have time and wait for the other person to reply when they wake up."
