Hunter

I woke up to the sound of something hitting my bedroom window. Repeatedly. I slowly got out of bed and walked over to the window which just happened to be facing my best friend Chase's room. I dragged my curtains open and and saw Chase smirking at me.

"What the hell, man?!" I yelled. Well, attempted to yell. when I wake up, my voice is really raspy and weird, so when i tried to yell it sounded like a dying cat.

"Morning sleeping beauty. Did we wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning?" Chase teased from her room.

"Chase! You know as well as the next person that I am not a morning person." See, I have never liked mornings. I sleep in whenever I can and when I have to get up early, its not a pretty picture.

"Hunter!" she mocked "Quit your bitchin', and get ready. It's Friday!" I had completely forgotten that today was Friday and we had made plans!

"Shit! I forgot! Sorry, C. Is your brother coming or is he going out to breakfast with Erik?"

"Erik. It's three months for them today. Be ready in forty-five minutes" she said as she shut her window

I walked over to my bathroom and looked in the mirror to see the mess of makeup that I had never taken off last night. My hair was in a bun on the top of my head and had little bits of hair sticking out. I had mascara and eyeliner smudged all around my eyes and an infinity sign imprinted on my cheek from the bracelet that chase had gotten me for Christmas. As I looked myself up and down I realized that it might take a tiny bit longer to get ready than I'd thought. I walked over to my closet to figure out what to wear for the day and settled on light skinny jeans, a plaid blue button up shirt, and a pair of black Converse. I took my hair out of the bun as I walked back into the bathroom.

About 15 minutes later, I had re-applied all of my makeup, and was ready for school. Chase had texted me saying that she was going to ride her motorcycle, so I would have to drive her brother Danny, and his boyfriend, Erik, to the bookstore. I grabbed my iPhone, backpack, and keys on my way out of my bedroom and walked downstairs. I grabbed my lunch out of the fridge and saw a post-it on the bag

Hunter-  Have a good day at school. As always you are welcome to go to Chase's house after school as long as you are home in time for dinner. Drive safe!

                Love,   Mom

My parents divorced when I was 3 and my mom got full custody. I still see my dad because they worked out an agreement that I can go to his house every once in awhile. I'm an only child so when my mom goes to work at 5 in the morning, I'm all alone until she gets back at 4. Normally I go over to Chase's house after school, but she has her first day of work today, so I'll probably just drive home. I need to do chores anyway. I pocketed the note and walked out through the garage. I walked over to the car and unlocked it as I saw Chase backing out. I walked over and closed her garage door so she wouldn't have to get off of her bike.

I dropped Erik and Danny off at the book store and met up with Chase to get coffee before school.

We finished our coffee just as the first bell rang for class to start. Perfect timing right?
