Mamma Mia, Here We Go Again

The next two periods pass in a flash while I'm completely zoned out.

I keep replaying what happened over and over again in my head as if it'll help it make more sense.

After he'd declared that I was to meet him VERY loudly, he had walked away without looking back.

Asshole

I'd been hounded by girls asking me how much I'd paid to get him, asking how they could beat me, asking if he might want a 'little something on the side' and if he did could I give him their number.

What the hell?? They're going crazy

But honestly I don't care, it's just a marriage. It's not like we actually have to talk to each other or anything.

We were only getting married cos it's good for our parent's brands.

My family runs a multimillion fashion brand and his an equally as successful interior design business.  

I guess you could say I'm a rich kid then, but I go to a rich school so it's kinda the norm...

I grab lunch with Rae and the entire time I'm glared at by girls and boys and just people in general, "Jealous much?" I laugh to Rae as she notices the stares.

We both look at each other.

And then we crack up.

"She's- probably- wondering if-" she pants through the laughter, pointing at a particularly sour girl in the corner, "if- she should've- dyed her- hair- green,"

"Or- if, if- she- should've- forgotten- about- her fashion- sense," I'm giggling so hard now that tears are falling down my cheeks. "But my hair- is not- green." 

Suddenly, Rae shuts up and her eyes widen.

I pause for a sec to make sure she's not dying on me, and then I burst out into fits of giggles again

That's when I feel the strong hand on my shoulder, pulling me off the bench and picking up my bags.

He leans into my ear and whispers, "Stop laughing right now, or I'm going to have to make you infront of everyone,"

I roll my eyes and turn around to face Jakob.

I lean closer so that our noses are almost touching and say quietly, "And how exactly would you do that?"

I can see him visibly getting annoyed and I smirk

"Here we go again," he groans and massages his forehead.

Rae appears behind me and pulls me back, "She has until third period to be with someone sane, so piss off."

I hold back a snort.

He shrugs. "They want us earlier now, I'm just doing what they told me to do,"

He puts a hand on my shoulder and steers me to the exit. The moment we're out of sight, he drops the hand and puts some distance between us, which I'm very thankful for.

"I detest this as much as you do, so I really feel sorry for myself when I tell you this," he says, speaking to the sky.

"Spit it out, we don't have all day," I say as I swing myself into the passenger set of his car. I grab my water bottle, hold it to my lips and take a sip.

"We have to have kids," he states bluntly. 

"WHAT?!" I exclaim and spit water all over myself for the second time today.

He chuckles softly and shakes his head as he pulls out of the parking lot

"That jumper's really going through the wars today," he mutters to himself.

And I can't help but agree.
