"Damn it!" Dean yelled over the radio. Currently the Impala had been malfunctioning quite frequently now. The radio had broken in the middle of the road, and ironically started to spark. His hand immediately hit the surface of the radio. It made a screeching noise and fell into static. He cursed again. Dean slumped back into the driver seat, drumming on the armrest. He drove over to the side of the road.
"Just what I needed." He grumbled. Dean had hoped to get away for a while. Since he had that fight with Sam, their tension has been through the roof. He turned to look out the window. Dark clouds began to loom over the horizon.
"It better not rain today, seriously, just what I needed."
Dean stared off into silence and saw Castiel's reflection in the glass.
"Hey there assbutt."
Castiel joked, poking at Dean's shoulder. He shrugged him off. Castiel frowned and muttered something.
"Hey Cas."
Cas's expression lightened as he was recognized, then hardened again in thought.
"Are you upset Dean?"
He grunted a harsh 'no'. Cas awkwardly shifted in his seat.
"Do you want to talk about it?"
Dean sighed at the angel and faced him.
"I'm fine. Okay?"
He pouted.
"You seem....very off lately. I am worried about you."
Dean scoffed and looked around for a beverage. Most likely beer.
"What do you care?"
"Well, we are best bros right?"
Cas chirped. He rolled his eyes and glanced at the horizon. Dean had felt this growing sensation before, gnawing at his heart like a hungry dog. He did not know why this happened, or what caused it. The only clue was Castiel. Dean would feel that way only around him.
"Yeah." Dean managed to murmur out.
Maybe this felling was some demon-angel thing. A bond perhaps? It could be from friendship, but this feeling, was way too strong for that.
"I know how to make you feel better! Let's go get some pie. My treat."
Dean perked at the suggestion, and placed the gears into drive. The car took off in lightning speed down the road.
"Enjoy your pie?"
Dean grunted happily, chewing the cherry sweet confection in a sloppy manner. Castiel, however, was more reserved. Whipped cream was slightly smeared on his face, but it appeared to be that he didn't care.
"I'm glad to see you better Dean."
Dean smiled and went back to eating.
"Hey..it is raining."
Small raindrops painted the window panes around the diner. A small pang of thunder followed.
Dean swallowed. "Do you want to go ahead and leave?"
Castiel glanced down at Deans plate. He had managed to eat three whole sliced of cherry pie, while Cas could only eat half an order of Bananas Foster. They paid for their meal and left the diner.
Dean placed the keys in the ignition. The radio began to work again.
"Hot damn it works!"
Dean laughed. Castiel rode shot gun. He watched the raindrops on the window pane in ideal silence. The radio sputtered out Queens Somebody To Love. It blared in the vehicle. Dean scrambled to turn it down. When he did, Castiel's expression changed. Dean paused mid step and stared into his eyes. Crystal blue orbs stared into his Forrest green eyes. They held the stare for a few minutes, before Dean turned away. The silence between both of them was unbearable. Music or not, it wasn't helping the situation. Dean sighed and turned the music off.
" I have to talk about something Cas."
He turned to Dean with an understanding expression.
"Yeah go ahead."
Dean shuffled about in his seat, as if choosing the right words to say.
"I get this weird feeling around you..its like.... I don't know."
Cas smiled.
"I know what it is."
Dean whipped in his seat.
"Am I getting possessed? Am I dying? Com on Cas-"
Castiel leaning in for a kiss, silencing Dean. He slowly eased into this new warm sensation branching from his chest. Dean knew what was wrong with him. Cas ended the newly formed bond, one that seemed more sensual than friendship.
"Sorry..was that.."
"Nah."
"Okay."
It was Deans turn to reestablish the kiss. They meshed together is a sweet harmony, lips moving in new ways, and in turn the heat intensified.
"Feeling better now I presume?"
Dean nodded. He had been in love with Castiel. It took just a kiss to realize his feelings for the angel, how could he be so blind?
"I'm glad. After all I am in love with you."
Cas kissed Dean's nose. He blushed a bit and closed his eyes.
"I hope we can stay like this....you know..."
Castiel nodded. They had just sparked a new relationship.
