Denial

-Ambers POV-

     I huffed as I wiped the sweat from my face. "Come on pebble. Come at me" Kirishima smirked. My knees shook alittle at the nickname and the way he just said it. "Just give up already" I shouted throwing two boulders on opposite sides of kirishima towards him. He hardened his arms the boulders crumbling on impact. He smirked at me as he ran towards me. "You want me to give up" he shouted. I braced my self ready for him to hit me. He was moving too fast for me to react. "Yeah" I shouted back. He wrapped his arm around my waist and slammed me into a tree behind us. A gasp left my mouth as I looked up at him. "It's not gonna happen that easy. Gonna have to work for it. By the way I win" he winked at me. I knotted my brows together before slapping his chest. "Asshole. That's not fair! You used your hotness against me" I quickly slapped my hands over my mouth as a blush came to my cheeks. He raised a eyebrow as a smile came to his face. "You think I'm hot" he smirked. My eyes were locked on his as he leaned closer to my face. "Huh" he asked tilting his head. I couldn't answer my thoughts were cloudy and I couldn't breathe. I quickly squirmed from his grip and moved away. I took a deep breath and my mind cleared. "Um pretend you didn't hear that" I huffed plopping down on a bench. We were training, the sports festival was in 2 days. "Okay fine but you have to fight me again. How come you beat Bakugou so fast but you can't beat me" he asked sitting down next to me. "I don't know" I shrugged. In all honesty I didn't want to hurt him. If I wanted to I could beat him in a instant. I'm only taking it easy on him to help build his endurance and help him level his quirk up. "Fine hit me with all you got this time" he shouted getting up. He held his hand out to me, I took it and he pulled me up with ease.
     I basically dragged myself through my front door. I threw my bag down and plopped on the couch groaning. "I thought we said one more time" I breathed. "Yeah me too" Kirishima whined as he plopped on top of me. "Ugh kiri your crushing me" I groaned trying to push him off. He made his body limp, "Dude how did you just add 20 pounds to your body weight by just going limp" I whined. Finally I just gave up and let him lay there. "Oh quit whining pebble you like it" he looked down at me and winked. "Shut up" I whispered as a blush came to my cheeks. "What are we having for dinner. I'm starving" Kirishima rolled off of me and landed in the floor next to the couch. "I don't know and I don't feel like cooking" I sighed rolling on my side so I could see him. "Take out" he asked looking up at me. "Works for me" I shrugged. Kirishima and I ordered pizza and soon there was a knock on the door. "Food" Kirishima shouted. I laughed getting up off the couch and opened the door. The guy holding the pizza and turned around. My eyes widened in fear and my whole body went rigged. "Hello there doll" his smile stretched across his face. "Dabi" I managed to whisper. His smile turned into a smirk as he handed me the pizza. "Your food" he handed me the pizza. "See you soon" he winked before turning and walking away. "Hey amber are you okay" Kirishima called from the living room. Dabi turned back to me and placed his finger to his lips, blue flames erupting from his hands. I slowly backed away from the door and shut it. I locked all three of the locks before quickly sitting on the couch. "Dude are you okay you look like you seen a ghost" Kirishima asked waving his hand in front of my face. I quickly pulled myself together. Looking over at kirishima I flashed him a smile, "yeah I'm fine". I don't know what dabi's game plan is but I will be damned if he hurts kirishima. I have to protect him from this.
     I got out the shower putting on a crop top and cotton shorts. I wrapped my hair up in a towel and walked into my bedroom. My eyes fell on kirishima who laid in my bed in shorts and no shirt. His hair laid flat and he looked up at me. His eyes traveled my body, his mouth hung open slightly. I raised my eyebrow as I leaned on the door frame. "Like what you see" I smirked looking over at him. His eyes shot back up to mine as we held eye contact for a second. "What if I said I did" he challenged as he licked his lips. I slowly walked over to the bed crawling towards him. I got real close to his face our lips inches apart. I could feel his breath fanning my face, it was uneven and rapid. "Wanna know what I think of that" I whispered as my eyes looked up into his. "What's that" he breathed his eyes never leaving mine. "Goodnight" I smirked quickly rolling off of him to where my back was facing him. I heard him huff as he wrapped an arm around me. He pulled my body closer to his. "Fucking tease" he grumbled lacing his fingers with mine. I giggled, soon the room filled with his soft snores. I carefully rolled over in his arms, trying not to wake him. I sighed as I moved his hair away from his eyes. How can you go from a sweet little boy that cried at everything, to this. His face was peaceful, he looked so ... vulnerable. These feelings he was making me feel were new, I didn't even feel this way about shinsou. "If only you understood the things you do to me" I sighed placing my hand to his cheek. I placed a kiss to his forehead, snuggling into his chest I let sleep consume me.
     I woke up in that same room. But this time I wasn't chained to the wall I had free range. I quickly walked to the door the was across the room, but the more I walked to the door the farther away it got. I stopped and looked around, something in the corner of the room caught my eye. It looked like a giant blob but as I moved closer it moved and I heard chains rattle. The door opened and a light shone in revealing what the blob truly was. My heart dropped as kirishima looked up at me. His face was bloody and beaten he had bruises and stab wounds all over his body. "Amber, why are you doing this to me" he coughed, blood spilled from his mouth as tears streamed down his face. "I-" I stopped myself. "You dumb bitch I told you this wouldn't work" I growled. I ran towards her and my foot connect with her jaw, she went flying across the floor and hitting the way. "Oh wow I thought you were smart enough to tell the difference doll" Dabi laughed. I quickly turned to see Dabi and toga standing behind me. Tears came to my eyes as I realized that really is kirishima. I quickly ran over to him and kneeled down next to him. "Oh my god. I'm so sorry" I tried to contain my tears. "You did this to me" Kirishima growled looking up at me. "N-no. I didn't" I stuttered. "You did this. You did this" he screamed in my face. I fell back onto my butt and quickly backed away from him. His voice started to distort as he got up and towered over me. He ripped the chains from the wall as he got closer. "I hate you" I screamed as he threw his fists down at me. I covered my face bracing myself for the pain.
     I jumped so hard to wake myself up I ended up rolling out of bed. I hit the floor hard, gasping for air. "Amber?" Kirishima sat up and looked down at me. My eyes traveled up to his face as I looked for any injuries. I sighed in relief when there weren't any and I sat up. "Was it another bad dream" he sighed laying his head on the bed looking down at me. I slowly nodded as the events replayed in my head. "You know ever since the attack on the USJ you have had them" he stated. "Yeah I know. I don't get it. And they are so real" I put my head in my hands rubbing circles on my temple with my index fingers. "I just wanna be able to sleep for one night without nightmares" I sighed getting up and walking down stairs. I walked into the kitchen and leaned on the counter. The sports festival is tomorrow I have to pull my self together and focus on training. I splashed some water on my face and looked over at the time. It's 6:30 in the morning might as well stay awake and get ready for training. I heard kirishima come into the kitchen he came up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist, resting his head on my shoulder. "We will figure it out pebble. Just breathe" he sighed holding me tighter. I placed my hands on his arms and leaned my head back on his shoulder. "I know" a small smile came to my lips as I looked over at him. As long as I have kirishima I can get through anything.
     Kirishima and I were on the way to the school to use the training courses. We walked through the door and set all our stuff down. "Hey guys what are y'all doing here" Tsu and Mina walked over at us. "Oh hey guys! We are here to get some training in before the sports festival tomorrow" Kirishima smiled wrapping an arm around my shoulders. Mina looked over at me raising her eyebrow but I just rolled my eyes and ignored her. "You guys wanna train with us" Mina smiled. "It's up to this one" Kirishima pointed at me. Everyone looked over at me. "Yeah sure" I smiled. We all walked over to the training field. "Okay maybe we should train with people who are complete opposites of our quirks. Someone who might pose a challenge" Mina smiled. "That's sounds like a good idea" I agreed. "Okay why don't me and Tsu train and you and Mina train" Kirishima suggested. I shrugged as everyone went to different parts of the field so we wouldn't get in each other's way. "So amber how are things with you and rocky" Mina winked at me. I looked down at my feet as last nights events played in my head. I was so close to him. I was so tempted to just kiss him. I don't understand where these feelings for him came from all of a sudden. Everything has changed so much since we were kids, he has changed so much since we were kids. "That blush on your face says things are going just the way I said they would" she laughed. I quickly placed my hands to my cheeks and nudged her with my elbow. We both got into fighting stances. Acid slowly started seeping from her feet as she ran towards me making her movements faster and smoother. I stood watching her waiting to see what she would do, she quickly slid behind me and went to grab me from behind but I swirled my fingers quickly causing me to fly up in the air. I hovered over her as she looked up at me and huffed. "This is so not fair" she whined as she threw acid at me. I quickly threw my hand up in the air causing a wall of concrete to shoot in the air. The acid hit the wall instantly melting it. I snapped my fingers causing the ground underneath Mina to rumble as a pillar shot in the air. Mina stumbled on top of the pillar quickly steadying her self. The pillar stopped when it was level with me. "Amber put me back on the ground now" she whispered. Her eyes were wide with fear and I laughed. "Awe is Mina afraid of heights" I asked tilting my head. "Y-yes now put me down" she shouted. "I don't think I will" I smirked. She glared at me before her face fell into a smug smile. "Well you know since you want to keep denying your feelings for kirishima, maybe I should try my hand at the hot red head. He's so my type and as of right now he's single. Hey kir-" her words stopped as I thrusted my hands towards her and knocked her forcefully off the pillar. She went barreling to the ground, right before she hit the ground I swirled my finger stopping her mid air. Her body shook with fear as she laid still in the air. I slowly floated to the ground landing gently on my feet. I stomped towards her and glared down at her. "Your gonna what" I sneered as she stared up at me. "N-nothing" she stuttered. I waved my hand causing her shadow to come to life and grab her wrists pulling her to the ground roughly. I placed my foot to her chest as I leaned closer to her face. "That's what I thought" I growled. "Oh and by the way I win" I smirked walking away from her. I waved my hand letting her shadow go back to normal. I feel kinda bad but the feeling I got when she said she was going to ask kirishima out made my blood boil and my skin crawl. He's my best friend, why are my feelings changing so fast. "Oh hey amber don't forget about my party tonight" Mina yelled out. I stopped walking, I totally forgot about it. I turned with a smile on my face, "wouldn't miss it for the world" I gave her a thumbs up before going to train with kirishima. He smiled at me as I walked up to him. "Hey pebble! I seen you beat Mina! That was so bad ass" he beamed as he looked down at me. "Thanks. I totally forgot but Mina's birthday party is tonight and she invited us a couple days ago" I smiled. "Oh awesome okay! We will definitely be there" he smiled at Mina as she walked up to us. "I hope so" she smiled. "Okay now imma train with kirishima" I smiled. "Okay we are gonna head out of here anyway I gotta set up for the party" Mina smiled giving me a hug. I hugged her back and said bye to Tsu as they walked out the building. "So do you want to do endurance training or combat training" Kirishima asked as he stretched his arms over his head. "Uhhh let's do some combat" I smirked as we walked out into the field we got into fighting stances, he winked at me before running towards me. As he went to throw a punch I was getting ready to block when a giant explosion hit the side of his face. Kirishima went flying across the field causing him to land hard on the ground and roll a feet or two. I snapped my head over to see Bakugou. He smirked, "you guys didn't tell me you were training" he looked over at me with a glare. "We have a rematch to do" he barked at me. I crossed my arms over my chest, "last time I won and you didn't leave a scratch on me" I smirked. "Well it's not going to happen this time! Die" he screamed as he shot an explosion at me. I wasn't prepared so it knocked me back a few feet. I landed hard on my back. I groaned as I got up, but as I stood Bakugou was there hitting me with another explosion. He hit me with explosions left and right. By the time he was done I was laying on the ground unable to move. "Who's better now" he spit on the ground next to me. He turned to walk away but he was not about to win that easy. I snapped my finger causing his shadow to come to life. His shadow Landed a punch to Bakugou's back causing him to stumble a bit. "What the hell" he yelled turning around. His eyes widened as he came face to face with his own shadow. I slowly made it to my feet. "Your not winning that easy" I breathed. "Amber your hurt! You can't keep fighting" Kirishima yelled as he ran towards me. I quickly swirled my hand causing him to float in the air. I kept him where he was ignoring him yelling at me to stop. My eyes never left Bakugou's as I snapped my finger causing his shadow to disappear. I ran towards him, everytime my foot hit the ground a pillar shot out the ground hitting Bakugou. He stumbled back as I reached him, my fist connected with his jaw. I swirled my hand making Bakugou came flying back towards me. I landed another punch on him. He fell back and hit the ground. I stumbled a bit as I stared at him. He slowly got to his feet as he coughed. Blood dripped from his nose, "you bitch! Die" he screamed shooting a explosion at me. I threw my hand up in the air blocking the blast with a wall. As he went to attack again I threw a boulder at him. He dodged it as he used his explosions to propel through the air and land behind me. I quickly turned around and thrusted my hand towards him, trying to create some distance. I swirled my hand causing him to fly in the air rapidly before I threw my hand down at the ground causing him to barrel towards the ground. He hit the ground hard as dust flew up. I snapped my fingers causing his shadow to come to life, but before the shadow could grab him he used an explosion to fly up in the air away from his shadow. He flew through the air towards me. He hovered in the air as he shot a huge explosion towards me. I wasn't prepared, I hit my knees and covered my head to protect myself from the blast. It never came though, I looked up and seen kirishima standing over me his whole body rock as his breathing was heavy. "Your... over... using your quirk" he breathed. I looked up at him shocked, "how did you get out of the air" is all I could say. "Like I said your over using your quirk. I fell from the ground out of no where and then when I looked over at you I seen you stumble. I had to stop this before you passed out on me again" he breathed as his body turned back to normal. "Hey shitty hair I wasn't done with her" Bakugou yelled from behind kirishima. His eyebrows knotted together as he turned quickly grabbing Bakugou and lifting him in the air over both of us and slamming him back on the ground hard. "I said your done with her. Your causing her to over use her quirk and I'm done with it" Kirishima yelled. I couldn't say anything, my heart started to race as I looked up at my best friend. His face was distorted in anger as he stared at the blonde who was stuck on the ground unable to move. A small smile came to my face as I looked up at him. He turned back to me as he held his hand out to me. "Let's go. You need rest before the party tonight" I grabbed his hand as he pulled me up. He wrapped his arm around my waist helping me walk. "Hey shitty hair" Bakugou coughed. We turned to look at him, he was slowly getting to his feet as he stood up straight he stumbled a bit. "You can't protect her forever" he smirked. Kirishima huffed before turning us around, he grabbed all our stuff with his free hand as he walked us out the door. "You know he's right" I breathed. "No he isn't. Your my pebble. I have to protect you" he whispered as we walked down the side walk. My heart got warm as his grip on my waist tightened. Silence fell over us as we walked but I knew kirishima needed time to calm down. I have never seen him that angry.
     I pulled my skinny jeans up and buttoned them. I pulled my crop top over my head and slide my vans on. I threw my white hair up in a pony tail and walked down stairs. Kirishima stood in the living room in a black muscle top and basketball shorts. He had a bandana wrapped around his head holding his hair up. My breathing got stuck in my throat when he looked over at me. His body froze as his eyes traveled my body. "Hey" he smiled a light blush coming to his face. "Hey ready to go" I smiled collecting myself. "Yeah let's go" he laced his fingers with mine. We walked out the door and headed towards Minas.
       I knocked on the door and waited. Soon the door opened and momo smiled at us. "Hey guys! Everyone is already here. Well besides Bakugou but come on in" she smiled. Kirishima and I walked in, he let go of my hand and walked over to Ida and deku. I walked over and sat down next to Denki on the couch. "Hey amber! You look hot" he complimented with a wink. "Thanks" I smiled over at the blonde boy. "I'm so glad everyone is here" Mina bounced into the living room. "We are all happy to be here" momo smiled. "How about we start this party off with a game" Mina suggested. "Yeah how about truth or dare" Denki shouted. Everyone agreed so we all sat on the floor in a circle. I sat between Denki and Ida, kirishima was between deku and uraka. "Okay I'll go first" Mina yelled. She looked around the room before her eyes landed on uraka. "Truth or dare" she smiled an evil grin. "Um truth" uraka looked nervous. The game went on until Mina smirked at me then looked over at kirishima. "Rocky truth or dare" she leaned forward alittle bit. What is she planing? "Dare I ain't no wimp" he smirked flexing his arm. "I dare you to kiss your crush" Mina smirked. Kirishima tensed up and a deep blush came to his face. "Awe come on man I thought you weren't no wimp" Denki smiled. "I-I'm not" he stuttered as he slowly got to his feet. He walked over to me and held his hand out. I looked up at him shocked as I slowly stood on my feet. "Me. Really" I whispered looking up at him. He slowly nodded his head as a small smile came to his face. "Can I kiss you" he whispered so the others wouldn't hear. I nodded my head as he wrapped his arms around me. He leaned down to my face inches away from my lips. My heart was beating a million miles a minute, his breath was fanning over my face as his breathing was heavy. My breathing was uneven as he finally leaned in and pressed his lips to mine. I kissed him back the kiss sweet at first but then it got deeper. He pulled my body closer to his as I wrapped my arms around his neck. I finally pulled away needing air, he rested his forehead against mine. His eyes closed as he tried to catch his breath. It felt like we were the only people in the room, my stomach full of butterflies. Our little moment of bliss came to a end when Mina and the whole class started cheering. "Finally" Mina yelled smiling over at me winking. A big cheesy grin spread across my face as I rested my head on kirishimas chest hiding my face from the class. Kirishima started laughed as we took our seats. The game continued until  everyone suggested Mina open her presents and we have cake.
     The party ended and kirishima and I said bye to everyone as we walked out the door. Kirishima laced his fingers with mine as I looked up at him. "So um. I don't want things to be weird between us" Kirishima sighed looking down at our hands. "They won't !!! Your my crush too by the way" I smiled shyly at him. His face turned red as he smiled over at me. "Well good but I don't want us to jump into anything. I want to remain friends for right now" he sighed looking over at me. "That's fine as long as nothing changes between us!!" I smiled. "Of course not. I'm all yours pebble" he placed a sweet kiss to my hand as he smiled ahead. "Do you want to do some light training when we get home" I asked. He looked up in thought before looking over at me. "Nah, I just wanna eat shower and get some sleep. The sports festival is tomorrow so we need to get some rest especially you. Your still not 100% after your fight with Bakugou. I could still kick his ass" he grumbled as his grip on my hand tightened. "Oh come on I'm fine. He didn't hurt me to bad" I smiled over at him. "Bullshit!" He yelled. I laughed as we walked up to the door of the house. I unlocked the door as my phone started to ring. I pulled it out and seen it was my mom. "Hey mom" I answered the phone as we walked inside. "Hey honey how is everything going you guys haven't burned the house down" my mom asked. "No mom and things are good we just got home from a friend of ours birthday party. The sports festival is tomorrow will you be watching" I asked. "Of course I will but I have some bad news" she sighed. "Oh no what is it" I plopped down on the couch. "Some things didn't go as planned on this trip so I have to stay an extra month or two". My eyes widened as I sat up on the couch. "Really" I asked. "Yes but I already talked to kiri's mom she said he can stay there or you can go to his house. She will take you grocery shopping every week for the house to keep food in it" I sighed slumping back on the couch. "Okay. Just be safe please. And I miss you" I sighed as tears came to my eyes. "I miss you too honey but I have to go I will call you after the sports festival tomorrow. I love you sweetheart" I heard her sighed. "I love you too" a tear slipped from my eye as I hung the phone up. This is the longest she has been gone on a business trip. It's weird and scary, she always comes home within a week or two. "Hey pebble you okay" Kirishima whispered wiping the tear from my cheek. "Yeah. That was mom. She's going to be gone another month or at most 2 months. It's just scary" I sighed wiping my eyes quickly. "Hey everything will be okay you got me" he smiled pointing at himself. I looked over at him and a smile grew on my face. "Yeah I know" I sighed leaning over and resting my head on his shoulder. "Hey now it's really gonna be like we have our own place" he chuckled as he turned on the tv. "Yeah I guess so" I smiled cuddling into his side.
     I crawled in bed with kirishima, he quickly wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer to him. "Good night pebble" he whispered placing a kiss to my cheek. I smiled while grabbing his hand and placing a kiss to his knuckles. "Goodnight" I sighed happily as I fell into sleep.
     My eyes snapped open and I was in a room I didn't recognize. Huh I guess they realized I was getting too familiar with the other room. Right on que a door opened to my right and Dabi walked into the room. "Switched it up on me huh" I smirked as I crossed my arms. "Nah I wanted a new scenery" he shrugged as he leaned against the wall. "So what's the tricks today? One of my friends? Family member?" I sighed looking over at him. "No actually. No tricks today doll" he smirked. "Then why are you in my dreams again" I asked leaning on the wall opposite from him. It's odd how casual this is. "Just wanted to sit and chat" Dabi waved his hand and two chairs appeared in the middle of the room. "Take a seat doll" he smiled sitting in one of the chairs. I slowly sat down on the other chair and crossed one leg over the other. "So when am I going to see you in everyday life" I asked looking over at him. "Ah well I'm a villain so I try to stay in the shadows but you will be meeting me and everyone else very soon" he smirked. My heart started to race as my palms got sweaty. "What do you mean by that" I sat up alittle. "You will find out in due time doll but I have to go" he smirked before everything started to disappear.
       I woke up to someone lightly shaking me. "Hey pebble it's time to get up. We have to get ready for the sports festival. I guess you slept good! No nightmares?" Kirishima whispered. "You can say that" I sighed sitting up and rubbing my eyes. I looked kirishima up and down and seen he was already dressed in his school uniform. "When you get dressed you have a big hot cup of coffee down stairs waiting on you" he smiled as he walked out our room. I sat in bed for a minute trying to figure out what Dabi meant. "You will be meeting every one very soon doll" his words played in my head. I quickly shook them off as I got out of bed and put my uniform on. Sadly we can't wear our hero costumes to the sports festival. I slide my shoes on and grabbed my bag and headed down stairs. I walked into the kitchen to be met with a smiling kirishima as he handed me my cup of coffee. I smiled and thanked him as I took a sip. Feeling the caffeine work straight away I peeked up alittle. "Is your mom going to be watching us on tv" Kirishima asked as I leaned on the counter. "She said she was but I don't know" I sighed taking another sip of my coffee. "I know she will be" he smiled trying to reassure me. I gave him my best fake smile but inside I knew she wouldn't be watching. Ever since dad left she has been working so much she barely has time for me anymore. So it's pretty much me owning the house while my mom is away. "Hey you ready to go pebble" kirishimas voice pulled me out of my head. I looked up at him and nodded with a smile. I'm not alone anymore, I have kirishima back and he isn't going anywhere again if I can help it.
