"Hey, listen to the new haiku I wrote, Fischl." You said as Fischl turned to you. "Oh, how the royal one loves it when Lady l/n announces another artistic haiku!" You chuckled and cleared your throat.

'The ocean soothes me,
Waves crashing against the shore,
My love next to me.'

"Huh." Fischl seemed deep in thought before doing her signature, dramatic, speech. "Ha! An absolutely marvelous performance! Thou is such a wonderful poet! Pray tell, what is thy secret?" You softly laughed. "A secret I will keep, Mein Fräulein." You both sat in your seats once the bell rings. Someone in your class caught your eye. He seemed...new. "Mornin' crewmates!" "Morning, Captain Beidou!" The class shouted back. She let out a small laugh.

"Y'know, I was on vacation, but I couldn't help but miss my students! Although, my wife didn't like that, but she's always more occupied with work. She doesn't mind too much." Everyone laughed and so did Beidou. "Now, listen everyone. We've got a new star among us. Let me introduce our new student." The boy I stared at earlier went up to the class and every girl was swooning over him.

"The name is Kaedehara Kazuha." At that moment, I was blown away by his charms. He had a soft voice and a beautiful streak of red in his hair. "I'm someone whose quite interested in poetry. Mostly haikus." That's when it hit. Beidou laughed. "Seems like Y/n has some competition. Why don't you tell us one poem of yours?" He smiled. "I'm not that-" "Aw, c'mon! Surely it's not bad. We all start somewhere." He cleared his throat.

'Captain Beidou
Lovely as the red sunset
She can be quite different though
But she makes herself hard to forget.'

Your eyes grew wide. He's good. Too good, in fact. Everyone clapped. "Woah, blew us all away, Kazu!" "Kazu?" He looked at Beidou confused. "Yep, Kazu. Anyway, since you're a poet," She looked at you. "Why don't we let our best poet tour you around?" You frowned a bit. Fischl looked at you. "Does thou have unpleasant thoughts of sir Kazuha?" You nodded. "Of course you do." She laughed and you stood up. "Hurry up, Kazuha."

You guys headed out the door as you began to help show him the school. "Y/n, do you have other hobbies besides writing poetry?" "Why do you wanna know?" You retorted. Kazuha became quiet for a few moments before talking again. "Hm...how long have you been here?" You thought for a second. "Half a year." You stopped walking and turned to him. "Look, I'm not interested, ok? Not interested in you at all." He blinked once. "Was that implied? I didn't mean to come off that way."

Despite wanting to be on top, the best poet in the school, your heart fluttered when his maple eyes looked into your e/c ones. You quickly turned your head away. "Forget it. Let's head back." Just as you were about to walk, you fell over and brought Kazuha down with you. Instead of hitting a cold, hard tile floor, you felt something soft. Like fabric. "Ow..." You rubbed your head. "You kind of brought me down with you-" "Ah!-" You quickly got up, panting. "Are you okay?"

"I-I'm fine!" You waited for him to get up before speed walking to your class. You opened the door, face flushed, your hair a bit of a mess, and panting. To anyone, it would look like you and Kazuha...did more than look around the school. "Y/n! Kazuha! How'd it go?" Kazuha sweetly smiled. "It went fine." She smiled brightly back. "Alright! Now, where were we...oh yeah!" Class felt like it went on for hours for you.

It was finally lunch and you sat alone (Fishcl has her group of high and mighty friends of royalty). You were just reading some things on your phone when someone sat next to you. "I hope you don't mind-" "WAH-" You got scared as soon as you heard his voice. You immediately fixed your composure. "Kazuha, for your information, I do mind." You crossed your arms and turned your head away from him. You were blushing. "Oh? I thought you wouldn't, but that's fine-" You cut him off. "Wait."

"You can...stay, I guess." You sighed. "...stupid." You said under your breath. This didn't go unnoticed by Kazuha, but he paid no mind. "What are you reading?" You immediately turned off your phone, your face red. "Why do you wanna know?" He gave that...dreamy...warm...smile. "So I can know you more." "Wait, why the hell are you admiring him?! You're stupid!" You nervously laughed. "Uhm, and does it look like I wanna share what I read?" You asked. He chuckled.

A few hours later, you both were heading to your house. Yes, you and Kazuha. You two were conveniently put together for a project. For the project, you had to come up with a short skit or movie. "Do you live alone?" He asked. "Creep." You answered jokingly, but not really well shown. "Oh, I swear it's not like that. I just asked because you seem really independent." "Well, creep," You began. "I live with my two cousins, aunt and uncle. My parents don't know what responsibility is so they left me with them." He looked at you, with slight shock on his face.

"That's all you're getting out of me." You said, no longer looking at him. "If it makes you feel better, I had a friend. I swear, there was nothing that could break our friendship. Until, that is, he passed away..." He had some sorrow in his eyes and you couldn't help but stare into them. "Well, I'm...sorry." You said quietly. You didn't want to look vulnerable. Not to him. Despite wanting to hug him and give him love. "It's alright. It's in the past. I'm not going to worry about the past, or else it may affect my future."

Before you both knew it, you were at your house. You opened the door and you were greeted by your two little cousins. Dixie and Trixie. "Y/n!! We missed you!" They both looked at Kazuha, who smiled and waved. They gasped. "Y/n has brought her boyfriend!!" Trixie said happily, her blue eyes stared in awe. You turned red and looked away. "We're just working on a project. Nothing more." They giggled and went back to their rooms. Your uncle came up to you. "Hi, Elliot." You said a bit bitterly.

"Why, hello! Whose this?" He looked at Kazuha. "A classmate of mine. We're working on a project." You scanned the kitchen and living room. "Where's Lana?" "She's still out working. She decided to do a bit of overtime today." You nodded and head into your room with Kazuha and shut the door. You awkwardly chuckled. "Welcome to my room!" He looked around a bit. "It's nice." He sat down on your bed. "What should we do, Kazuha? Y'know, for the project?" "Romance?"

'R-Romance?!' You thought and your face turned red. "Why romance? Why not comedy or something?-" He shrugged. "First thing to come to me." "Haha...ok. I'm good at romance when it comes to acting anyway." You opened your laptop at your desk. "Sit closer to me. I can't work if you're 3 feet away." He nods and gets up and you know what he does?

He sits in your lap. "Kazuha! G-grab a chair and sit next to me! Not on me!-" He then hummed and got up. You swore you saw a smile on him. Just briefly though. He pulled up a chair and sits in it. You took a deep breath. "Okay. Characters, plot, and background first." He nodded. This was going to take forever.
