Recruiting the Fatui (Arlecchino x Reader)

Y/N is in Fatui training and works themself over the top to be the best. When it comes time for selection day, Y/N can be seen staring off to space at a certain female harbinger. As for the harbinger herself, she has her eyes on someone..

"Y/N. You're next! Get your gear on and head out to the battle field."

Yes! I get to finally fight someone. I'll show the harbingers what I can do and hopefully get recruited by Arlecchino. I heard she is super polite and will get serious in a second if needed. That's so amazing.. If anything I don't want to be with Scaramouche. I heard he is terrible and will not be afraid to hurt his team even though he has been warned. 

As I got to the field I saw the special seats with each harbinger in their designated spots. Arlecchino was in her spot not looking at anyone particular while the other harbingers were looking at the other battle fields to see the battles going on. Each harbinger can choose up to 10 people to recruit every year. If a harbinger happens to lose someone on their team of 10, the next runner up is then chosen. I finally got to the battle field I am supposed to fight at. The rules are easy. 1. You can choose any weapon to fight with; 2. You can use elemental abilities; 3. The first one who is unable to fight or gets knocked out of bounds loses. Oh and the most important rule is the battle starts right when you enter, so you better be quick.

My opponent was a real buff dude, he looked like he would be an electro hammer dude. He must have also won the last battle as he had a few scratch marks. This one was going to be tough. He charged at me before I could even pull my sword out. I easily dodged cause I am just that good and used my sword and infused it with pyro to attack. I swung at his legs hoping to at least get one to injure him. He smirked at me after I barely scratched his skin. And with that he punched me square on. That hurt like hell. I had to get up quick, but I couldn't move an inch. 

"Y/N are you able to get up and continue fighting?"

"Yes yes, now shut up and go away."

I was pissed. I had all the harbingers looking down at me while I fight an over stuffed teddy bear. I am going to win this fight no matter what. I finally got up after a few seconds and looked at the harbingers. Most of them were interested in this fight. I'm guessing everyone else couldn't get back up after facing a punch like that. I looked back at the over stuffed teddy bear and saw him put his electro shield on. It was a perk for a few people who had delusions. One downside from it was if you used an element against the shield to break it, the shield user will be knockout for a few seconds. And luckily for me, pyro is great against electro. 

Oh poor teddy bear. This show is just getting started..

I once again infused my sword with pyro. This time instead of just my sword being pyro, my whole body was in flames. Just like delusions have their own perks, visions do to. Visions get a cool ultimate. I decided it was time to use mine now or never. 

We both charged at each other. My sword blocked his hammer from hitting my face. I swung my sword up causing his hammer to go back and him stumbling a bit backwards. I charged once against while he was still regaining his footing and slashed him in the stomach. The pyro and electro clashed for a bit fighting to see which element won that battle. And like always, pyro came out on top. Once his shield was down along with him, I threw him to the ground. Despite my young and weak appearance, I had quite a strong body. Unfortunately one rule is that we could not kill each other in the recruiting battles, so I beat him up to a pulp he is. I swung my sword constantly hitting him while he was down and infused pyro every now and then to get the full effect of losing to me. 

"That's enough. Y/N is the winner."

Though I did beat the over stuffed teddy bear, I would have to fight more until the day was over or until a harbinger pulled me aside. I was tired, I wasted so much energy just to fight him. I really hoped a harbinger pulled my aside right now even if it was Scaramouche. I wouldn't care I just need to rest. 

"Stop the next fight in field 5. I would like to see the winner personally." A voice from above came. Everyone stopped their battles and looked around for field 5 to see the winner.

It wasn't long until it occurred to me that I was standing in field 5. And I was the winner.. I looked back up and looked at everyone else who was looking at me. I pointed to me in confusion if I just heard that right. I was right.. Arlecchino had chosen me to talk to her personally. This is awesome.. I hope I didn't do anything wrong in my battle though. Before walking out the field to go to the 'Harbinger Room' as we called it, I thanked the referee and walked off. I heard whispers around me. Some were positive, others not so quite. The whispers consisted of, "They beat that guy over there? They must be an Archon.." "Theres no way they beat that dude over there, he must have been going easy on them." I ignored them knowing full well that they probably aren't going to have the opportunity to talk to a harbinger one on one like me. They are just jealous.

"Ah yes, take a seat. You must be Y/N correct? Your battle against an electro hammer was truly impressive."

She is impressed with me? And my battle skills??

"Thank you The Knave. I still have some work I need to do and I need to prepare my body more-"

"I want you. Join me and become my number 1 captain for my main missions. You're a good work of art, but you aren't going to learn anything else at the academy. From what I've seen, you fight with your own moves and didn't really use those of the academy. So why don't you say, Y/N. Want to join my company? If you are looking for another harbinger, The Jester, The Captain, The Doctor, and Damslette all looked at you. It just happens to be first come first serve though."

They all looked at my battle? And wanted me..? I must be going crazy.

"I'll take the deal. I'll join your company."

"Great. I'll look forward to using you, Y/N~" And with that she left. I wanted to scream in excitement so much! I just got recruited by my favorite harbinger and she said I'll be her number 1 captain on her main missions. This is going to be so fun! 

But what did she mean by using me...
