chapter thirty nine

As Ni-ki woke up, before the events of last night catch up to him, he already knew this was not bound to end happily for him.

Even though he's sort of glad to see Sunhee was tucked against his broad chest with his large hands holding his back. The scent of someone cooking somewhere filled his nose as he sucked in a breath and arched his spine in an attempt to stretch.

He wriggled himself up enough to perch his elbow on the pillow. The girl's head stayed on his chest, but dropped slowly to his shoulder. A chuckle escaped his lips as he looked behind him.

Sunoo was sprawled out on his side of the mattress, starfishing like Patrick from Spongebob. His arm smooshed into poor Jungwon's face as he was placed in the middle of the rather big mattress.

His breath hitched as Sunhee tightened her hold on him, using him as a pillow, tugging him closer in her sleep. Ni-ki slumped himself back down, so the girl is now on top of him.

Warmth spread from his cheeks as Sunhee let out a contented sigh.

He let his eyes trace her face as he cradled her head with his arms. Gosh, she is so dang cute. Dark, lashes rimmed her closed eyes. Her nose was slim and straight as it led down to her plump lips.

He had a sudden urge to kiss her awake. They just looked so firm and smooth. He had kissed some girls before through dares in a parties, but it never quite live up to his satisfaction if he didn't like the girl to feel something.

Would kissing Sunhee be any different?

Before his imagination could run wild, Sunhee's eyes fluttered open. Her sleepy stare locked with his and they both smiled.

Waking up with her in the morning had to be one of his favorite things now.

"Morning Ni-ki", she mumbled against his chest.

It was then that she realized where her head was resting as she pulled back and climb out on top of him to drop down beside his body.

"Well, I nearly thought you wouldn't wake up to suffocate me", Ni-ki smirked, making her laugh out loud.

"Ssh.. It's too early for this", Sunoo grumbled from the other side of the mattress.

Sunhee's eyes narrowed as she reached around him and throw a pillow into her brother's face quite harshly. Ni-ki sucked his laughs at the smack of Sunoo's fall down the carpeted floor. That must have hurt.

"How about you get up and cook your sister a breakfast?", Sunhee smiled as she rolled forward to hug her brother who sat at the edge.

"Listen to your baby sister, hyung", Ni-ki said sweetly as Sunoo glared at him.

He poked his cheek with his finger nearly getting bitten as the brother retaliated. Clearly proud of himself.

"You all need to shut up", Jungwon whined as he stretched widely, almost punching Sunhee in the face.

He smiled apogetically as he sat up and look at the other three, "How are you doing, guys? What do you want to eat? Cook or let's go eat outside?"

They all stared at the only girl in their midst. It was then that her phone decided to ring, their eyes going to it and the picture of their eldest friend was the wallpaper, even the caller is also him.

All the goodness in Ni-ki's morning is being taken back at the sight of Sunhee jumping out of the mattress and she abandons them all just like to answer the guy he was now starting to wish to be him.
