----
Chimes filled the dead room,
Why did you always assume;
Assumed you're safe and away,
She only wanted to play.You're life was a such a mess,
Filled to the brim with distress.
Your old grandfather clock ticked.
You built your walls with brick.At noon and midnight,
There was never any light.
Even in the bright of day,
Why wouldn't those thoughts go away?Tic-Toc, Said Grandfather Clock,
On your door there was a knock.
No one was there, only she,
She needed no key.Your clock began its slow rings,
She's was a doll hanging on strings.
She wanted to play, wanted to stay,
All you could do was obey.
----
One
----
The clock struck one;
Warned you it's time to run.
It was a warning you always would ignore,
Even when she hid under the floor.
----
Two
----
The clock struck two;
What thoughts were new?
She would hide behind the couch,
Her actions were vouched.
----
Three
----
The clock struck three;
Where was she?
Behind the couch? Behind the clock?
In the tiny lock just to mock?
----
Four
----
The clock struck four;
Your thoughts were at war.
You couldn't find her. You couldn't see.
Your nightmares would stir. Your hopes would flee.
----
Five
----
The clock struck five;
Your nightmares would thrive.
Wished you may; Wished you might,
Just to survive one more night.
----
Six
----
The clock struck six;
You wanted a crucifix.
She was out, She was looking,
It's you who would be overlooking.
----
Seven
----
The clock struck seven;
All hopes left to Heaven.
You knew it all along.
How could you be so wrong?
----
Eight
----
The clock struck eight;
It was already to late.
You were a hopeless soul,
One who lacked control.
----
Nine
----
The clock struck nine;
Sent shivers up your spine.
You swore she was breathing down your neck.
Light in eyes bequeathed, you turned to check.
----
Ten
----
The clock struck ten;
Your fingers gripped your pen.
She was coming, She was near!
You could feel the fear!
----
Eleven
----
The clock struck eleven;
You wished it were seven.
Would you live? Would you see;
Could you outlive what was meant to be?Tic-Toc, Said Grandfather Clock,
At your door there was a knock.
You awaited to see if midnight should ever come,
In your chest, your heart was that of a drum.
----
11:59
----
I seems to forget how to rhyme.
It's now eleven fifty nine.
She's in the corner, eyes of blood,
I swear my thoughts are trying to flood.
----
Midnight
----
No sound was in your home;
Your thoughts have stopped their roam.
Tic-Toc, Said Grandfather Clock,
Why was your door unlocked?
----
Why was your body on the stairs?
I sent you my quiet prayers.
For at midnight you saw.
You died from a flaw.
----
For when the clock struck midnight,
There was no such thing as light.
In that corner; Tic-Toc, Said Grandfather Clock.
At the door there was a knock...
----
She's right behind you....
----
Just out of your view....
----
DONG
DONG
DONG
DONG
DONG
DONG
DONG
DONG
DONG
DONG
DONG
----
Will it not strike?
She jabbed you with a spike.
----
DONG...
----
Goodnight.
Sleep tight.
Don't get scared.
Be prepared.
No more light.
In your sight.
So, goodnight,
And sleep tight.
Don't feel any fright?
Just don't let her bite...
