"HAZEL! COME DOWN YOUR GOING TO BE LATE FOR THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!" My Mom yelled. My Mom's name was Haley, Haley smith, as usuall she had green eyes and long wavy light brown hair.
"Okay, okay I'm up." I said in a sleepy voice. I'm Hazel and i'm 12 years old, my birthday was on April 17th. I have brown eyes that had a green tint, long strait ginger hair that a looked gold in the light, and I also had a few freckles on my nose. Today is the third day since we moved to Phoenix, Arizona and it is also the first day at my new middle school, Carlyn Cathaway.
"Don't forget to meet Ms. Adruee in the front, she going to show you around the school."reminded mom
"Don't worry I won't forget" I grabbed my back pack and bagel off the counter and left.When I got to the front of the school no one was there except for a tall woman, who I was guessing was Ms. Adruee. She had long blond hair and pale skin and she wore a white suit.
"Hello. You must be hazel, your going to love it at Carlyn Cathway. Here I'll show you around." said ms. Adruee
As we walked in side the school there was a big difference, the out side was dull and gray like a deserted prison, The inside was full of life plants, animals, and color. When I looked behind me I defiantly didn't see Ms. Adruee,I saw a unicorn with pearly white fur and a blond mane that was the color of gold. I was standing there in shock, in front of me was a REAL LIVE UNICORN.
"Whats wrong, oh your mother didn't tell you?"said the unicorn. Clearly not, I wanted to say but I was so shocked I could not speak, but I did feel like an idiot just standing there.
"Follow me to my office and I'll tell you every thing."said the unicorn.
Her office was like a back yard but inside, the floor was grass and the walls were painted to look like the sky,she had a desk and a chair, and on the desk said Ms. Adruee.
"OK, according to the papers that your mom filled out you were blessed by the Egyptian god, Bennu, and you have the ability to create things by shouting them out."said Ms. Adruee. I've always wanted a puppy! "PUPPY!" I shouted but nothing happened. I felt like an Idiot again.
"Since your new and your probably confused I will have two other students help you train and show you around."
Ms. Adruee turned on the loud speaker." Alia and Paisley report to Ms. Adruee's office." The loud speaker turned off with a buzz. A few minutes later two girls came in.
" This is Alia, daughter of the Greek moon goddess, Achelois." Alia had straight black hair and dark skin.
"And this is Paisley, blessed by the Greek medicine goddess, Hygeia." Paisley had short curly blonde that went to her shoulders and had light skin.
"Its about lunch time, why don't you two show her to the cafeteria?"
The cafeteria was full of people, animals, and monsters. Smells of every kind of food made my stomach growl.
"The cafeteria has every thing from ice cream to pie and from tomato soup to BBQ ribs, You can also order your favorite food or special meal." said Paisley, she had a soft but cheerful voice that sounded like she was saying every thing was okay.
"Come on let's go order lunch."said Alia, she had a soft and soothing voice like she was singing a lullaby.
"grrrruuullll"At the thought of food my stomach grumbled.
"Hmm? I think I'll get a Tuna sandwich with some vanilla pudding." I chose my favorite meal.
"I'll have a salad please."said Paisley.
Alia turned to her and said."Paisley you always have a salad why not try somthing new."
"But salad is good for your health."Paisley replied
"Many things are good for you not just salad."Alia argued
"Fine, I'll add some chicken in my salad." Paisley answered
Alia rolled her eyes. We sat down at an empty table. I was looking at every table and there where goblins, fauns, three headed dogs, some giant blob of goop, so many mythical things caught my attention that I only ate one bite. Paisley seemed to notice.
"So your new to all of this mythical stuff." said Paisley
"Well yeah I've spent my hole life reading about myths and now its starring me in the face and saying hello." I replied
"Yeah Ms. Audree and her first impressions, she always shows off and wants attention." said Alia "After we eat well show you the classrooms."After that we ate are food and left the cafitieria.
