Gloria Nina Hills is 23 years old and the eldest child to Richard and Lisa Hills. She's a med student and is currently in her third year in Med school. She has a boyfriend, Daniel Marinó, who she's been dating for five years. Daniel is studying Engineering. Gloria who Grace had nicknamed "Ria" since she was a baby, has become somewhat of a second mother to her younger sister, Grace. Although she won't admit it, part of the reason why Gloria always guides her sister is because it makes her feel better about the mistakes she made when she was seventeen. In a way, Gloria is fixing her past mistakes through Grace. Gloria is very clever and always pushes her sister to study and to read and to learn new things everyday. She's got a great sense of fashion and is also really good in the kitchen. She can be strict at times but her heart is in the right place. She's very protective and loves Grace. She's also a bit scary and sees herself as a big sister to all of Grace's friends. Gloria has lived her life trying by all means to get her parents approval. To be the child they can be proud of. She took on medicine because both her parents did and she knew it would make them happy.
Grace on the other hand...is her own person. Grace Nora Hills. She's seventeen years old. Grace is very ambitious and bright. She's a passionate young lady and is very mature for her age. She's got a carefree spirit like her father, whom she's really close with. Grace grew up watching a lot of romance movies and is therefore a hopeless romantic. She strongly believes that sex before marriage is a sin and has made a promise to herself not to lose her virginity before she gets married. She's set big dreams for herself and future. She's book smart, and the responsible one in her friend group. Teachers at school love her. Other kids adore her. Even though she's got a good head on her shoulders, she hasn't been able to avoid peer pressure from her longtime friends. And because of that, Grace parties, drinks and smokes almost every weekend with them. She too loves her sister dearly, even though sometimes she doesn't listen to her. She eventually grows tired of the repetitive lifestyle and begins to feel lonely, pushing her to break one of her rules: No relationships until after college. Although she doesn't entirely regret it, falling in love opens Grace's eyes to other aspects of life.
