CHAPTER 1
LULOLWAM
Everyone was gathered around the circle to watch my initiation as the future Queen of Nakae. You know that sinking feeling that things were going to go horrible wrong? That's what I felt as I sat on the front with my parents. As always my uncle Zamani had created a chaos to stop me from continuing with the initiation. I got up slowly and walked out,nobody would really notice anyway.
Sivu:Now where do you think you are going?
Me:Away from here.
I removed the robe throwing it on the floor before handing the guard my tiara.
Sivu:Lulolwam where are you going?
Me:Out of here!
I was going to get in trouble as always but I didn't care at all. From the moment I turned eighteen everyone realised that I might not be the Queen they wanted. Nakae was a kingdom of healers,there were other powers but healers was on the top. For example my mother was a light fairy while Father was one of the most powerful healers in the kingdom. I was their first born,the crown princess to the throne so as the heir I was suppose to show my powers as the next healer by eighteen and the mark of Nakae. Did any of that happen?None of that happened,then everyone started whispering asking questions, that was six years ago. My uncle Zamani was the one who fuelled everyone that I wasn't suppose to be Queen considering I had nothing. People changed towards me,I was no longer the future Queen I was a disgrace and curse to the kingdom. My parents on the other side were forcing things saying that by twenty five I was ruling more like putting the kingdom in danger. I was given a lot of times to prove myself and I failed. Childhood friends distanced themselves because no matter who I was,I wasn't the Queen they ordered.
Me:Drop me here.
Guard: Your Highness we can't let you walk out alone.
Me:No one would attack a rogue,I have no powers nor dignity.
I got out of the car and headed to the forest. I walked until I found the clearing,I looked around.
Voice: Looking for something.
Me:No.
He jumped off the tree and landed behind me.
Siso: You are here early.
Me:I escaped.
He massaged my shoulders.
Siso: Initiation?
Me: What is the use of Initiation when everyone knows what will happen?I have no powers nor do I bare the royal mark, literally asked my parents if I was their child for real.
Siso: Queen Swazi?
Me:She slapped me two times before sending me away, that was yesterday. A light fairy getting angry,so rare.
Siso:I would have done the same.
Me: There's no explanation Siso, nothing that could explain why I don't have my powers or the mark. I can't rule without that.
Siso: Your parents believe that you can.
Me: Have you seen the number of people who don't want me to rule?80% of our entire population now that is just an indication I am no ruler.
Siso:Calm down.
Me:My parents are just sending me to my own death, someone with the mark will come one day and challenge me for the throne.
Siso: Know what let's talk about your book launch.
Me:Another problem.
I sat down,he followed.
Siso:Why?
Me:Uncle Zamani got a copy of the book and his review was that I was exposing royal secrets,the royal council asked me to take it off on the launch day.
Siso:He did come to my house today and asked why I was dating a royal.
Me:Of course he did.
Siso:He said that he will find a way to get rid of you for good.
Me:The assassination attempts on my life.
Siso: You are so calm.
Me: People would rather see me dead than rule them at all.
Siso: Your-
He coughed.
Me:Are you alright?
He coughed out blood.
Me: Oh God!
Then he let out blood on my chest,I screamed as I tried to steady him.
Me:Somebody help me!
The guards came rushing and grabbed him,I followed suit as we headed to the hospital.

I sat there with all that blood on my chest,confused about what really happened. My parents walked in.
Mom:Wam .
Me:Hey Mama.
Mom: We'll talk about you disappearing in the middle of your initiation later and embarassed the entire kingdom. What happened?
Me:He just vomited blood.
Uncle Zamani walked in with the royal army.
Zamani:She has to be arrested.
Dad:On what grounds?
Me: I was with him.
The Dr walked out.
Me: Because he's dead.
I wasn't going to give Uncle Zamani the satisfaction of seeing me cry.
Mom:This-
Me:Just stop trying to protect me.
Dr: That's not necessary,Princess Lulolwam isn't responsible for what happened. Siso consumed a crocodile bile at the same time Princess Lulolwam was sitting in her initiation.
Zamani:She could have sent someone-
Me:To kill my own lover?Are you serious?
Uncle Zamani and wanting to get me arrested,each time it backfired but he never gave up at all.
Dad:We have to go.
I followed them as we headed back home. My heart died the moment I stepped out of the hospital knowing very well that Siso was dead because I couldn't save him. I was born in a kingdom of powerful healers yet I could not save anyone at all.
Mom: You just up and left Lulolwam.
Me:I was tired of listening to you argue about me.
Dad:So all the other kingdoms didn't matter? They waisted their time to come here but you couldn't do one simple thing,which was show your face. Potential marriage proposals.
Me:To get rid of me.
Mom: What about us?We spoke highly of your manners.
Me:Then I am sorry,I wasn't exactly good enough to show my face.
Dad: You nee-
I left them there and headed to my bedroom. The moment I closed the door,I sat on the floor and cried. I finally got up and walked to my bed,I froze and looked around. I knew something was wrong but I couldn't point what. I got under the blankets. Just as I turned, I came face to face with eyes. I was about to let out a scream when they pressed a pillow on my face. I struggled to breath until I couldn't anymore,I couldn't feel my throat burn as I couldn't breathe anymore.
