Katsuki
This turn of events had lead me to days, if not weeks of endless unanswered questions to myself and Hitoshi. What did that eye bagged extra know that he wasn't telling me? I had even came to the extent of trying to catch him outside of the text messages, but to no avail. So I had only decided to conduct my own search, most knowing I was only busy with a single handed investigation. Where is Kirishima? What does this have to do with De- Izuku? How is either of them involved with this whole thing and still alive, assuming Izuku is still alive?
My desk had been an absolute mess, though still looking more organized than the glass wall of my office. Both absolutely covered with reports, yarn, tape, pictures, and so much more. I looked at the reports of when Izuku and Kirishima went missing, trying to spot any minor or major similarities I could. Only spotting the same within the city and organizations. What in the hell was going on here? Knock knock. I looked through the glass door, and seen two of Hitoshis husbands, in which both have some connection to me. Denki, a friend and good battle companion ever since he mastered his quirk. Neito, who had been working by our sides when he wasn't busy with many of the internships he gets. Letting them in I turn back to the conglomerate mess of research, "what is it? You know I'm busy trying to find shitty hair."
To my surprise, it wasn't Denki who had spoken, but Neito. "Actually we came by to help," I looked at them confused. Though Neito still answering my question as if I had voiced it. "Denki had said shortly after Toshi had been home, he had left for awhile while none of us were actually fully aware. Denki helping me with cleaning around the house. I was doubtful, but anytime we confront him he ends up just saying he was having a drink with another co-worker."
My eyebrows furrowed, not sure how to handle it. "Did he tell you which co-worker? Why even?" Ending my questions I grab the information on eye bags as well as his photo from almost 10 years ago. Wondering where all this could fit in other than the beginning point of all this investigation.
Denki shook his head, only responding with a simple no. This had put me into a slight rage that even eye bags won't tell his own husbands details of this. Sighing, I rub the bridge of my nose and handed them each a folder. "Let me know what you can find on Hitoshi and Izuku, don't let him find it either. Even if that means you have to work extra hours here, or make up excuses. I'll raise the pay in compensation for the time spent on this case. Call me if anything comes up, got me extras?" They nodded in response, turning and walking out of my office. Now to further my investigation on what happened to Kirishima and the situation from our senior year.
With no further will to read the articles over again, I pulled my phone out to last source I could think of. Hovering over the call button, my finger finally pushed down on it. Welcomed with a long line of rings and then a deep voiced grunt. "Hey I need help on a few things."
After a run down of what I needed, I hung up. It was someone I would have never even decided to call unless last chance, especially after his recent claim of adopting a child officially. Though his errands would only have taken a few hours before he came in without knocking. "Bakugo, this better be worth it," Aizawa huffed out as he slammed some files and a few disks down. "What even is this about? We haven't even had talked since you went off and graduated."
"I know, but something isnt adding up and you're my only connection to either events as well as an underground hero working for UA." He looked confused, which was quite understandable. "Kirishima, according to your son and co-worker Shinsou, is still alive after being kidnapped by the League. So I'm hoping this gives me information on he knows. And how he and Kirishima know that the mission we were on connects to Izuku." I point my finger down as it presses to the files he had just put down. His face moving into less confused but a deep thought. He turned to look at all the reports, photos, and string covering my wall.
"Why would these two have a connection more than 10 years apart? And they have nothing alike other than strength and having attended UA. Are you sure he wasn't in a drunken frenzy and told you about Kirishima?" He traced his fingers over the investigation. I nodded to his last question, having already known neither of us were in a drunken state.
I walked closer to him and pointed at correlating pieces. "In fact, his husbands came to join because he went missing for hours to join a co-worker for drinks after having departed from our session." I pointed to the reports on Kirishima, "he seemed somehow unaffected after the kidnapping." I could see the doubt and hope that it was just a coincidence wash over his face, all because I wished the same. Walking over I pour a glass of scotch each for us to sit and look over the evidence.
With hesitation, he took the glass and downed a bit of it. "You owe me kid," I nodded knowing what his words had meant. And for this, I owed his whole family, including eye bags.
After a few hours we found ourselves going through a great portion of the papers displayed. That was till Neito and Denki had found their ways back to my office, not expecting their own father in law. Though they got their greetings out of the way and joined in taking their seats. Denki being the one to speak, "so we thought about it. If we're investigating Izuku as well, we should also look into who was around the night of the disappearance and what happened in that room all those years ago." Aizawa and I looked at Denki and to each other as if it were an ah hah moment. Both of us being on the same silent agreements.
But as time went on with the plan unfolding, it had soon left to only me being left in the building. The rest having gone home already. My slightly drunken state clearing my mind other than the thoughts of the certain green haired boy. As my hands left the temples I had been rubbing from stress and exhaustion, my hands toured to the file that had his picture on it. "Where are you Izuku?"
