8:35 Am
I woke up breathing heavy and sweaty. I looked at the clock and realized I was late for my first day of my new academy. I rushed off my bed and hurried to grab all my clothes and pack them into my favorite shiny suitcase. I put on some shorts with a hoodie and grabbed my dirty aged converse. I rushed to the kitchen to see my mom on the phone making breakfast for us. I saw my favorite, pancakes and bacon.
She looked at me with a smile on her face and motioned me to eat my breakfast. I devoured every last bit of my plate and left to grab my remaining things. I ran out the door and saw my mom waiting in the car for me.
2 hours later
As we drove into the parking lot of my new academy, I saw giggling girls surrounded by guys. I was screaming with joy. My mom finally stopped the car and said her final goodbyes while crying. I assured her everything would be okay and I'd make sure to call her everyday. I grabbed my suitcase and skipped into the huge golden doors leading to the entrance of my new grand school. As soon I walked in, I could hear chattering of several students. I awkwardly walked to the front, pushing through people. "How can I help you sweetie?" the woman looked a little over 60. "Hi, I'd like to get the number for my new room." I exclaimed."Perfect, What's your name?"the elderly woman spoke."Leah" I said. She gave me a warm smile and passed me an envelope with my name written on it. I smiled back and walked away. I looked down to read my envelope until I felt a hard thump and next thing I knew, I was on the floor, hand on my head. I yelped in pain until I saw a hand in front of my face. "Are you okay?" the unknown voice said. I looked up to see this tall, dark skin boy, looking down on me with worried eyes. "What happened..?" I said confused. "I might've accidentally bumped into you" he laughs. I lock eyes with him. I blush hard. He grabs my hand to pick me up but I refuse it and get up on my own. "Sorry about that, what can I do for your forgiveness?" he blushed while rubbing his head. "Helping me find my room would be enough." I said in a low voice. "No problem!" he smirks. I pass him my envelope with my name on it and he looks at me with a grin. I follow him for what felt like decades. We finally reach our destination. "Well.. here it is!" he smiles. "Thanks.." I said. He hands me a small folded piece of paper. "What's this?" I ask. "Just in case you need anything." he gives me one last smile and walks away without hesitation. I unfold the paper to find a number written on it with black ink. I smile.
