Eclipse POV.
I watched curiously as Solar guided Harmony along with us. The young femme seemed to know where she was going without him though. Wavelength stretched and skipped along. We had officially escaped from high school without being caught! My wings fluttered for a moment as we crossed over a bridge. The energon river below us gurgled loudly.
"So? Why attend our school?" I look down at Harmony.
*I liked the high ratings! Your school seems to be known for its academic opportunities!* Harmony signs with a grin.
"You think? I thought our teachers were just trying to get rid of us?" Wavelength laughed.
"You maybe!" Solar piped up.
"Hey!!" Wavelength grinned over his shoulder.
I laugh as Harmony taps my arm.
"Yes?"
*May I hold your servo for a while?* She signed politely.
I chuckle, wings bouncing slightly.
"Sure. My designation is Eclipse." I gently take her servo.
*That's a lovely designation!*
"Haha. Thank you." I chuckle.
*Who is everyone else?*
"The two seekers behind me are my trin brothers, Flare and Siege. Siege is our oldest, Flare is our middle, and I'm the youngest. You've met Solar, and in front of us is Wavelength." I happily inform her.
*Oh! I've heard Seekers come in three. Do Solar and Wavelength have any siblings?*
"Nah. They're both only kids. They are cousins though."
*Oh!*
"What about you? What's your story?" I ask.
*Mine? Oh. Well, I grew up near where Praxus used to be. My Carrier is Frost, he use to fight in the Cybertronian war. Sire was lost shortly before the end of it... But Carrier still did everything he could! He provided me with books about anything, anytime I wanted one. He took me to visit places and was always there for me!*
Harmony paused as Wavelength started hanging back. Seems they could both relate over having one creator.
*But Carrier has started having memory problems... He's forgotten huge battles he was in, down to a few simple tasks. I'm getting worried...*
"Memory loss. That's one of the symptoms Carrier was talking about." Solar noted.
We fell quiet for a few minutes.
"So, you new to the area?" Flare tried changing the subject.
*No. Carrier and I have been here for a few years now.*
Harmony signed, still sticking close to myself and Solar. No one said anything after that. I could tell Solar was tense. Whatever was running its course through the city had him on edge. Flare thinks he overheard Sire and Uncle Thundercracker talking about it after lights out. And no one was surprised that Magness wasn't talking about it. Wavelength is positive his carrier thinks it's a hoax, whatever good that would do somebody.
"Well, Solar's carrier, Ratchet, he's a brilliant medic. And so are his coworkers. I'm sure Mr. Frost will be more than taken care of here in the City." I gently squeeze Harmony's hand.
*Thank you. I know he'll be fine. Carrier has a friend! I've never met them, but they're the reason I was able to get into your school!*
"Oh? Did Mr. Frost ever tell you who they were?" Wavelength asked curiously.
*No. He remembers them, kinda, just not their designation.*
We all nod.
"GUYS!!!" We all jump out of our metal.
"It's an arcade!!" Flare pointed.
I sigh. That mech has no attention span whatsoever.
*That sounds entertaining.* Harmony nods.
"Arcade it is." Siege agrees.
We all walk in and pay for playing cards. Solar and I end up hanging out with Harmony as Wavelength is dragged off by my brothers. Maybe I could get a game alone with him later.
*This place is crowded. I can feel so many bots walking around.* Harmony's doorwings flick.
Solar and I both jump from the movement. She, praxarian. Just like Seekers, she's a broken and recovering race! I find it funny we didn't notice her doors at first. I could tell Solar figured out the same. Seems this kid really is special.
"Feel?" Solar asked.
*Yes! The vibrations from all the sound and movement everyone is making! I've learned to feel for it with my wings! It's very effective!*
The two of us chuckle. Perfectly special indeed. Solar and I eventually take Harmony around to any game she asks about. Once again, not that she needed any leading. Little femme was fast and nimble. I let out a victorious whoop as I beat Solar in a game. Harmony laughed and teased Solar about "not being fast enough." He gave us both a pout.
"Nuh-uh. No rematches!" I laugh giddy.
*You promised her! First to win twice in a row gets the winner and me a free drink!* Harmony giggles.
"Man! I should have given you to a teacher! You're more mischief than I can handle!" Solar teased Harmony right back.
She laughs and playfully sticks out her derma. I crack up at her antics. Little femme was a riot. As the three of us sit down, the other half of the group joins us. Flare had bought one of those pop-it things that stick to a surface then go flying up. Sire would love that thing. Uncle Thundercracker... Well, actually he might also. Siege found a tiny nunchuck toy, no longer than his digit, and was messing with it, annoying Wavelength.
"Will you boys cut it out?" I laugh.
"Do we have to?" Flare looks up from his tiny toy.
*Yes! We shouldn't spill any drinks we order.* Harmony reasons.
Thank Primus for another femme to help me knock logic into these mechs. My brothers grumbled a bit as Wavelength finally escaped to the other side of Solar. Harmony smiled as her and I messed with something random from my subspace. Within a few minutes however Solar received a notification.
"Hey, guys... Carrier wants us back home. Now!" He said nervously.
"We were caught!!" Siege groaned.
"Nope... worse-" Solar never got to finish before the news was turned up.
"Today at 1:36 pm the local hospital has sent out an emergency warning. The recent string of viruses has officially gotten out of control. Doctors are urging any and all bots to seek refuge and quarantine as quickly as possible. According to head medic Ratchet, 'I wish it didn't go down this path. Myself and everyone else were worried about this. But this virus only seems to be spreading easier and faster. Please, the other doctors and I are begging you. Seek shelter away from anyone infected.'"
