Chapter 4 - memories and pain

Hey! Back for a tiny bit, here's this chapter for you :)

TW: death(not of any main characters don't worry lol), angst, bad memories (I think that's it, I dont know...-)

Dream was now currently with Nightmare in Nightmare's room, Dream being a bit uncomfortable with that fact, but since Nightmare wasn't doing anything, he was alright. Dream was keeping to what he thought and hadn't spoken to Nightmare in any way in the past 17 hours, and Nightmare had been cuddling Dream a bit, this bringing Dream back to their childhood.. he missed his innocent and happy days.. which had gone away quickly after the incident, and being turned to stone.
~flashback~
"Brother!! DON-" Dream yelled as he had then Heard the loud crunch as Night took the bite from the negativity apple he held in his hand. "-T......" Then another, and another, until the apple was it's core.. before pain struck out on Night, his body convulsing and making loud cracking noises as his bones broke and cracked. Dream watched.. in horror.. he was terrified, worried for his other half.. soon Dream panicked as he looked at the villagers which were trying to go at and Kill his other half, he tried to peacefully make them change their mind and go back, but they were blinded by the negativity they felt for Night. Night, however, saw this in a different way.. Night.. Nightmare.. thought Dream was trying to protect the villagers from him. And now he was filled with anger, with HATE, for Dream and the villagers.. Nightmare went crazy, he smiled, grinned, and he started to murder villager after villager with the tentacles that had come out his back. Dream watched as the gruesome scene unfolded. This filled Dream with horror, with fear.. the last positivity apple was what Dream was hiding in his pocket, he panicked and ended up absorbing the positivity apple.. and just a few moments after that, his body, to protect the positivity apple Dream now held in his core, started to turn to stone in response to the large amount of negative emotions that was around him.. and soon, that's all he was.. trapped in a stone prison, just to preserve the positivity.
That's all he remembered from that point on.. everything after that, until he was freed from the stone, was just.. black. Empty.. for 500 years..
~flashback end~
He missed the time before that horrible day..
Dream didn't realize until Nightmare pointed it out, "why are you crying?.." Dream looked at Nightmare and at that moment felt the hot tears streaming down his face, he was still silent and just soon started to sob gently, his face just looking like he was feeling nothing but pain and sadness. He hugged Nightmare, and got close to him, needing to have the feeling that someone was there for him.. even though he didn't believe Nightmare cared.
Nightmare had made a sad/worried face, petting the back of Dream's head and wiping some of Dream's tears. Nightmare said as gently as he could manage "it'll be okay..." and Dream just continued to cry, getting closer to Nightmare instinctively.
He'd stay like that for about an hour, giving both Dream and Nightmare a headache from Dream's sobs. And after, they both were just silent, Nightmare trying to comfort Dream the best he could.. he soon kissed Dream's forehead gently, saying "you okay now..?.." Dream looked at Nightmare and soon slowly shook his head; of course he wasn't okay, why would he be okay? He's probably going to spend the rest of his days here with Nightmare, and that was something he was absolutely petrified of at the moment. But, little did Dream know, he'd start to like it there after enough time and effort from Nightmare and his gang.

Sorry for the short chapter, just thought I should get something out after a long wait Lmao, being unmotivated really doesn't help with writers and art block Lmao...
