Hey, everyone! So, I will try to put TW starts and ends where I think they would be necessary, so if you feel uncomfortable, skip to the ends of each TW start. :) Enjoy!

I rubbed my eyes open. The alarm woke me up. I hit it once, hopping it would just shut up, but I missed. I groaned quietly and decided to get up. I didn't get a lot of sleep, like usual, since my parents were fighting again, but that wasn't that much of a problem. I got used to it eventually...

I went to the bathroom to wash myself. The cold water splattered in my face and then began falling down. It seemed so happy. Being free and careless I wish I was like that.

I then went to my wardrobe. Everything was old and many of my jeans had big holes in them. It's not like my parents can't buy me new clothes. They just don't seem to care about me at all. They never understood me, they never even seemed to notice my existence. Not even once had they asked me: "How are you feeling?" or "Are alright, sweety?". Not even once did they care why I came home sad and crying. People at school liked calling me parentless, because of the fact that my parents never showed up. Not even to pick me up. At some point, I myself even started wondering if people at the orphanage aren't happier, without parents, then I am with mine.

I picked a pair of blue jeans. They looked like they were stolen from some dempster outside my house. Next, I picked my favorite hoodie, a black, baggie hoodie with a skateboard in multiple colors on it. I then grabbed my own skate and my backpack, and tried to leave as quite and as fast as possible. My parents were arguing again. They didn't even notice me leaving and just kept fighting over probably something dumb.

I got on my skateboard and went off to school. I stopped in front of the huge building in blue and white colors. I moved my wavy, long brown hair out of my face and let out a sight. I knew, that the minute I enter the building, something bad will happen.

I opened the doors and went inside. It was full with kids, that tried to find their classes. They were carrying books, pencil cases and notebooks. I tried to be as invisible as possible, but as I started thinking everything was going to be fine, I felt my hand being pulled back in a tight grip. I didn't have time to scream, and before I knew it, I was facing three boys around my age, with mad looks on their faces. I knew who they were.

      - My homework, nerd. I want it. - Said the first. His voice was scary enough for me to shiver a bit. I took my backpack and started searching for the 5 pages long essay that the boy needed for his History class. I took it out slowly and handed it over to him. He checked it quickly and made sure everything was made correctly. He then looked at me and left with his two friends behind him. I was relieved and sat down for a moment. I didn't even want to imagine what he was going to do to me if I forgot that essay...

I got up and started walking to my next class. It was Maths. "Ugh, I hate that class..." I thought as I went up the stairs and entered the room. I took my seat in the back of the class and opened my backpack. I took out my white headphones and was about to put them on, when suddenly the teacher stormed in nervous. I blinked a few times. She was usually calmest person on this planet, but now she seemed like she had seen a ghost... Or a... I gulped. A vampire.

      - Settle down, kids! - She told us. Everyone looked at her and sat down quietly. Well, that was unexpected... - I was told to warn you about a vampire attack. - One of the kids laughed for a second and then faced the mad look on the teacher's face. - This isn't a joke! One of our students, Diana, was found dead at the back of the school. There were no clues of a knife put in her body, or a bullet shot thru her head. The only thing that we know is that she died, due to blood loss thru two small holes on her neck. It has been said that the vampires would come back here one day. And I think that they are here now... So I suggest none of you to leave the school or go out on the streets alone and unarmed. Call your parents and stay safe. - The teacher warned us. Everyone was frozen in their seats. The shock on their faces was clear. Some of them started shivering, others started crying. This was the fist time I felt scared in a long time... I knew that I was going to die, since there was no way my parents would care to come and pick me up. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I had to stay calm. I just won't go to any dark places, and they won't find me. It's as simple as that! Right..?

The whole day all I could think about was how to stay safe. I kept imagining a vampire just sucking out all my blood and my body falling dead on the ground. I couldn't let that happen... And so when the classes ended I went out. To my surprise, no one was outside. Everybody was inside, waiting for the car with their parents inside to arrive. Whenever a car stopped a kid would rush to it, as if it was chased by angry dogs. I am also scared, but damn...

I got onto my skateboard and rushed home. I felt so nervous. I didn't let my guard down for even a second. As I entered home, I felt relieved. I was all in one piece! But then, I remember other things I had to worry about...

   - You are late, Olivia! - A voice hissed in front of me. My mom was laying on the sofa, holding a bottle of alcohol in one hand, and the TV remote in the other. She got up. She was drinking  again.

   - I am sorry. - Is all I said. I sighted. I knew what was about to follow...

TW: Abuse, blood - start

Next thing I knew I got hit by the bottle in my mom's hand. The glass broke, making a loud noise. My face was covered in blood as my scratches began multiplying.  I felt terrible pain... Not only on my face, but even a more painful one in my heart... A tear fall down my face. I wanted to burst out crying, but I just held it back. I looked down, to make myself look more guilty.

- I am sorry, it won't happen again, mother... - I mumbled quietly, hoping that she would let me go with just this. She growled and layed back. In her language that meant: "Fine, get out!".

End of abuse

I went to my room as fast as I could and locked the door. I then busrt out crying. I wondered what I did wrong... What did I do to deserve to be treated like that? I wondered why. Why can't I just get some love? Even just for a second I wish I could feel loved and wanted by anyone!

I stayed in my room. I wanted to be alone. To cry for hours. To wake up and realize that I had been in a coma and that my loving parents would enter the hospital room and hug me tight with tears of love. But that could never happen...
