The Uncovered Mystery

Chapter 1

I was only 8years old when my parents died in a car accident. (At least, that's what I was told).
Hi. I'm Amelia and I'm 16 years old.
My parents were always so busy. They didn't even have any time for me until...a week before they died...and until today, I still wonder "Why were they suddenly nice to me? Did they know they were going to die?". Well, now, I live in a beautiful house with  my grandmother that my parents left me with. Sadly, I didn't even have a chance to see my grandfather before he died.

It was a normal, awful day in school when my best friend, Anna, came running to me telling me she was being chased by some bullies. We both ran to the toilet to hide and after a while, they finally left. It was time for class so we both left for class.
In class, we talked about powers and how to take them to the next level. I hadn't gotten mine yet so I felt I wasn't part of the class. I just stayed at one side of the class while everyone including my best friend participated. After the class, the teacher called me telling me she wanted to talk to me. Anna waited at the door for me.
I went to meet her and she said to me "Why didn't you participate in class today?". I felt so bad but I had to answer her. Sadly, I said to her "I....I haven't..gotten my powers yet ". She felt bad for asking me the question. She apologized and told me that if there was anything I needed help with, I should let her know. I thanked her and left to meet Anna.
As we left, Anna asked me what all that was all about but I didn't want to talk about it so I told her that the teacher was just checking on me. She replied with "okay". School was over. I and Anna left for the house. When we reached her street, we greeted ourselves goodbye.
About getting to my street, I mistakenly hit someone (I guess I wasn't looking). She helped me up and I thanked her. When I was about going, she kept on looking at me like I was some kind of special person. She called me back and asked my name. I told her and she said to me "Don't give up. You're very special". I was confused because I didn't know this person from anywhere. I replied confusingly with an okay and thanks. Then I left.
When I got home, I greeted grandma and I went upstairs. After showering and doing my chores, I thought about what the lady had said and then I said to myself in a disappointed voice "I didn't even get her name".
Soon enough, it was night. I was kinda tired so I slept off.
The next day was a Saturday. I woke up, prayed, greeted grandma, took breakfast, did my chores and had my bath. I was free to do anything I wanted after that. I went upstairs to grab my phone and purse because I was going out. I was climbing upstairs when I saw a picture falling off the wall. About putting it back, I saw a weird box inside the wall, behind the picture. When I unboxed it, there was a key inside but there wasn't any door for me to unlock. I was very confused.
    I went to ask grandma about this but she attacked me with a hurt voice saying, "never ever play with that again". Now go throw it away. I was so much more confused than I was before. I didn't throw the key away. I kept it to myself and left the house to hang out with Anna. On my way to Anna's house, I saw this same lady that I had seen earlier. I stopped her and asked for her name. She said "Oh how rude of me. Sorry, you can call me Ellen". Then I thanked her and left.

Ellen and I had the best Saturday of our lives. We ate different foods, drinks, played games and so much more and finally went back to hang at her house. I didn't want to show Anna the key but we promised ourselves that we wouldn't hide anything from each other so I decided to show her. "Um...Anna!" I said "Yes bestie?" she answered. "There is something that I wanna talk to you about." I continued. "Sure. What's the problem? Talk to me" she replied. "So...um...I found a key at a secret place in my house but I don't know what it's for or what door it opens, and when I told grandma about it, she attacked and yelled at me." as I reached in my purse to show her the key.
