The New Kids (Rafe x reader)

Chapter 4

Georgia ran to get Rafe when I heard fists pounding against the door. Rafe ran down the stairs and saw me in the corner with my knees hugged to my chest. "Y/N, what happened?" "My dad saw me kiss you on the cheek and freaked out. He called me a whore and told me that I can't date till I move out. So I ran out and he followed me." I said while sobbing. I saw Mrs. Khatchadorian about to open the door when I yelled, "No!!!! Don't. My dad is behind that door and he is the one who gave me this bruise." I lifted my sleeve to show her and she said, "Oh my gosh!!!!! Who would do that to a child?" she questioned. "I will call the police and get you safe ok? Is he armed?" she asked calmly. I said, "Kind of." she gave me a confused look. "I know he has a belt but I don't know if he has any other weapons." I said. "Ok, that's all I needed to know." with that she called the police and we hid in the basement.

We waited for the police to get here and when we heard the sirens I got up and ran toward the door. I opened the door and saw my dad pinned to the ground with a police officer cuffing him. I cried out in happiness. With that and officer ran up to me and asked, "Is this your father?" I nodded and hugged her. "What is this for?" she asked me confused. "Thank you so much for saving me. I have been enduring this abuse for years." I said while crying. "Ok honey we need to know where your mom is so we can contact her. Do you have her phone number?" she asked me. "Yes I know it." and with that I gave her my mom's phone number. They called her and she was at Rafe's house in a matter of minutes. "Oh honey are you alright?" my mom asked me while inspecting my face and arms. "I'm fine mom. You should go speak to Mrs. Khatchadorian. She was the one who called 9-1-1." I said and she looked at Mrs. Khatchadorian. My mom then ran up to her and hugged her while crying and said, "Thank you for saving my baby girl Mrs. Khatchadorian." "Oh call me Jules."

We were finally safe from any abuse that my father would bestow upon us. I got a few days off of school for obvious reasons. Me and mom testified against my dad and he will be in prison for 30 years. My mom also filed for a divorce and we are staying with Rafe and his family for the time being. The reason is our house is in my dad's name not my mom's, so we are trying to find a place. Jules offered for us to stay with her till then. When I had to go back to school I was excited because while I was gone Rafe got his sketch book dissolved by our stupid Principal, so Rafe and Leo have this fun idea to destroy the rules in the rule book. Our first plan was to decorate most of the school with sticky notes. The operation is call R.A.F.E also known as Rules Aren't For Everyone. This is going to be fun. "Meet me outside in 10 minutes." Rafe said to me as it was going to take most of the night to decorate with sticky notes.

After I got ready we ran to the school. "How are we going to get in?" I asked Rafe. "Well I left one of the windows slightly cracked so we can get in." Rafe told me. "Well aren't you the little genius." I said hitting him on the shoulder. We ran inside the school. We got most of the walls covered when we decided to do Principal Dwight's office. "Do you want to do the tables and I'll do the walls?" Rafe asked me. I nodded and started to get to work. We finished and we had 1 hour to kill before we even had to leave for school. We left the school and started to walk home. "Wanna play 20 questions?" I asked. "Uuuummmm, yeah why not," Rafe said. "I'll go first. Why did you get kicked out of your last school?" I asked Rafe. He said, "Well I am very artsy and my creativity bothers a lot of people so even if I was just drawing I would get in trouble for not focusing. I was on my last strike and then I zoned out and started to draw and then was expelled." he explained. "Really? That is so stupid." I said. "I know right?!" Rafe said. "Ok well my turn. Can you sing?" "Yes. When our school had an arts program we did a performance of Bye Bye Birdie and I got the lead role Kim. Then they shut the arts program down the year after that." I said. This went on for a while and then we got to the house.

We snuck into the house and some news papers started to stick to us. We got them off and went into the kitchen where Jules was cooking. "Hey mom." Rafe said. "Oh, hey kids. Why are you up so early?" she asked us. "We are just excited for school." I said and we started to walk away and froze when she said, "Rafe? You got something on your shoe." we then had a wave of relief wash over us. We had breakfast and then went to school. Rules Aren't For Everyone started trending in a matter of minutes. At the end of the day Miller stopped me and said, "Hey, I heard what happened and I'm sorry. I had no idea about everything, but would you like to go out sometime to get your mind off of everything?" "No thanks Miller I just want to be left alone for the time being." I told him but he did not like that answer. "Why cutie? I'm a gentleman. I am so much better then that dork you're hanging out with." he said while pushing me against the desk behind me. "I said no, I'm not interested in you and I never will be." I shot back at him. He was just about to say something when Mr. Teller said, "I recommend you leave her alone before I report you for sexual assault." Miller then moved  so I could leave. I mouthed a small thank you to Mr. Teller and he just smiled and said, "Don't leave yet Ms. Y/L/N I do need to speak to you. Miller please leave my classroom so I can talk to Y/N." I looked confused as Miller left.
